I have used the David post office many times for packages going to the USA. Nothing has gotten lost so far. In David, you are required to wrap the package onsite for inspection purposes, use brown paper, and glue. No string or tape allowed. Also, in David you have to put a copy of your passport in the package. My last package with three pair of sandals got to Florida in less than 21 days. If you need info about Boquete I suggest visiting the post office. I would assume the rules are the same. Lee Seltzer gave me all of my information a year or so ago. I mailed a letter snail mail from Boquete yesterday to St.Louis. We'll see how long that takes. Centro Office Supply by the park in david has all the glue and paper.

I've always pulled for the underdog or less fortunate. Sports Illustrated got this one right. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/14/entertainment/sports-illustrated-cover-models/index.html

Great day at the BCP. The Big River Rep did a great job. He delivers simple but factual information-----brief and to the point. Frank, as always, DOES NOT mince words. He had told me a few months back he was getting his Panamanian Citizenship. He can now really toot his horn. He is the go to guy for information on the rivers in Panama and how to help save the rivers. Water is a valuable commodity world wide now days. Water is very profitable at the users expense. The Indegenous people of Panama and Costa Rica aren't the only people suffering from the water issue but they are reaping the worst of it. It's all about money and politics it sounds like according to the Professionals. Very informative film also. The film was produced by some professional people. Some locals were involved with the film also. -
I've seen one but didn't know a group name.

Judy it was closer to Rio Sereno. In any event, it was a good one here in Alto Boquete.

6:39 am. This one rattled the pots and pans in the cabinet. Actually very close the way the crow flys, 47km or 29mi. Just on the other side of Volcan Baru. The map shows it very close to Rio Sereno. Some say 4.8 and some 5.0. What's the difference? Hint------2. http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/earthquakes/quake-info/1229081/M5.0-Sun-31-Jan-Panama-Costa-Rica-Border-Region.html (click on the map in this site and zoom in on the center. very good on location) http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=2016-01-31T11:38:35.860Z&msg=M4.8%20%20-%204km%20ESE%20of%20Monte%20Lirio,%20Panama http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us20004w57#general_region http://earthquaketrack.com/quakes/2016-01-31-11-38-35-utc-4-8-9 http://geofon.gfz-potsdam.de/eqinfo/event.php?from=rss&id=gfz2016cdsc

Go through Volcan do not turn right. Turn left in front of Don Tavo hotel. Go two blocks and turn left. And, the first place on your left. I forgot the womans name but she is an expat. Small donations are helpfull for her to feed the animals. Anyone near the hotel can help you if you can't find it. And, maybe someone on CL knows her name. Really embarrassing I forgot her name. Found it-------It's called the ARK and here's her number----6466 9530. Still no name...........lololol

I've been here a few times. If i'm over in Volcan I drop in on the animals in the rehabilitation center. She told me she has dropped off the coyote in the jungles many miles east towards Panama City and it always come back. This beats setting around worrying about who is wrong and who is wright and who has been in Panama the longest!!!!

Nilka, The manager of Hotel La Morenita (at the border) is not taking any guest for as long as it takes for The Government Of Panama to move the Cubans from the border. She said she didn't know when that would take place. She has 56 Cubans staying in her 14 rooms. Four per room. She actually didn't have much say in the Panamanian Government taking the place over. I talked with an official there today and he told me there are 1200 Cubans in Panama between Darien and the Frontera. They have SenaFront in all the hotels housing the Cubans for security. Luckily, I didn't have to stay over night and everything went smooth. Passport was the only document I produced for them on the Panama side. But, I'm always prepared with full documentation. Should get my residency soon. This could have been the last trip we'll see. Things do change here fast.

I have a friend in David (Panamanian) that once lived in chiquita country. His dad retired from chiquita as the mail man. This new truck I spotted today. Looks like prep work might be picking up. .

Soy and whey are very similar. Body builders use Soy for the natural bulking up instead of steroids. Whey is used for maintaining muscle in older people like me. I started using it two years ago while working out in the gym. It will help with keeping muscle toned up. Great protien. I get the chocolate or vanilla at Price Smart when the have it (powder). They have plenty of Soy and it will do the job until they get some whey.

What is the chinese steak house near Penny?
-
Boca Chica Restaurante in David. It is mostly seafood and has a steak menu. In David, I rate it 8 out of ten. Seafood was fresh, A/C dining room (small) or other seating out front. Good service and not long waits. We had the Mariscada De La Casa (seafood platter). More than enough for two. Everything is under $15. The fried Calamara appetizer was good also.

Again, I don't follow politics too much but I did follow this man. He sold out his country and the poor people with help of his accomplices. A great day for Panama. Innocent? Don't think so. As of 4am none of the major news outlets in the USA have covered this; ABC,NBC,FOX,CBS,MSNBC. I wonder why? http://www.newsroompanama.com/news/panama/court-orders-martinelli-detention http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/ricardo-martinelli-panama-contempt-1.3375958
