The manager of Hotel La Morenita (at the border) is not taking any guest for as long as it takes for The Government Of Panama to move the Cubans from the border. She said she didn't know when that would take place.

She has 56 Cubans staying in her 14 rooms. Four per room. She actually didn't have much say in the Panamanian Government taking the place over. I talked with an official there today and he told me there are 1200 Cubans in Panama between Darien and the Frontera. They have SenaFront in all the hotels housing the Cubans for security. Luckily, I didn't have to stay over night and everything went smooth. Passport was the only document I produced for them on the Panama side. But, I'm always prepared with full documentation. Should get my residency soon. This could have been the last trip we'll see. Things do change here fast.
