Well said, Alison 👍👍
Without hesitation we totally agree with Alison’s labeling Rodny Direct as an “essential necessity” when living in the Chiriqui highlands. Rodny Direct truly is an essential component to achieve a more secure life in Boquete.

Thankfully we tested negative for COVID-19, actually twice, once in Mazatlan and then at Tocumen.
A report for tests performed on January 2nd on passengers who entered Panama thru Tocumen Airport indicate 404 tests were performed and seven passengers were detected positive.
Our test results at Tocumen were written in both Spanish and English. Confusing layout....I actually helped some individuals on where/how to locate test result information on their document.
Yup....situation could have been a lot worse for us!!

I’m seeing empty grocery shelves. Wondering if food delivery to Boquete is becoming a problem, or maybe limited number of stocking employees.

Last Tuesday (April 21st) Bud arrived at GAGO approximately 11:15 am to buy groceries. Couldn’t get into store parking area because three rows of vehicles completely filled the lot. He could not even get off the roadway to wait for space. Since seniors of 60 plus years have one time slot of 11AM to 1PM, what are they supposed to do?
What is wrong with this scheduling picture? Wait, I know.....all these customers had a “permit” !! So my question is: How do I get my permit to do what I want to do?
Ideas requested.

Pretty obvious that present attempts for quarantine is not working !!!!

John 13... Can you secure a copy of the “hall pass” from your gardener?
-
What is current condition of Anita?
-
No, a dog not visible in the entire baggage area.
-
Yes, this happened at the large X-ray machines and after my bag was scanned.
Couldn’t figure what food item the inspector thought she saw in my luggage, but she was determined I had food. She did seem embarrassed when she only discovered my bottle of water and a few mints.
P.S. I noticed this woman (there were three inspectors) opened luggage from female passengers only.

Thanks, Hill. Wondered where you were. Enjoyed the pictures; you do interesting travels. Keep it going.

Dan, as you have indicated earlier “the internet does not have an eraser” i.e. the information stays.
Thanks. Your info is an important reminder for us to consider what we post.

I agree. The saleslady at stall four is great. A real winner! Her location is now on my weekly shopping tour.
-
Hill, I enjoy your blog entries. You travel around the area with your interests and share your adventures with us. Thank you for sharing and bringing new information to our attention. Thanks.

Yup. Bud and I are doing the same thing. Also distributing a copy to family “will holders”.
Suggest the bank manager’s signature and date is included on the beneficiary form.

Different banks. Same problem.

Afraid not, Penny. Better keep looking, I guess!!

When in Houston I get my hair cut at a certain Barber Shop. Always several male clients and only one female barber in this big shop. I get “funny looks” while sitting and waiting my turn, but Maria is worth it.

Breakfast, chicken soup for lunch, and ribs for dinner all at Cafe Boquete. I’ll take my own Coca Cola, though. And I had better rework my Saturday schedule.
Thanks for the added information, Siempre.
P.S. Is it Saturday yet?
-
Here’s my new Saturday schedule: deliver my dirty laundry; eat breakfast at Cafe Boquete, get my haircut; grab my clean duds and boggie home. All of this done at one location in town. Happiness is me!
Oh no......I forgot to check the calendar for the yard sale time.

Thanks, Hill. We value your evaluations. Have always found your input to be fair, complete and accurate. We’ll try this restaurant next week. Many thanks.

This community is fortunate to have DogCamp and Kris Berg with their special talents.

How in the world do you keep them from fighting? I have to be ever vigilant with my pack. And I am amazed that they are all calmly eating right next to each other. I could never do that with mine! Feeding time at my house is a real "adventure."
Dottie, we have watched Javier work with and train these dogs. With little effort from him the animals respond immediately. A special skill and looks like magic.
Bud calls Javier a “dog whisperer”.
