  1. Yah...we're old and the old stuff still works ( today at least). Heck our phone (which is taped together with clear tape) doesn't even take photos. It just calls. ( It's a step up from the old dial phones I remember where the operator dialed the number for you and you had a party line ).
  2. Judy ...How did you get rid of KB3133977 ? I want to nix it out of my updates...or should I? I am reading on it and the information is beyond my learning curve.
  3. Yup. !!! When I finally met Bud and Marcelyn I gave them a hug....and it felt real. That kinda stuff is important. Ruby. and her doggie crew ..hey there's another one She will drop everything to help you with your animal......dog goned I appreciate her. B4Boquete..the entire crew......wow great folks Foundation for the handicapped... Rodny .. There are a ton of folks I would not hesitate to help or assist in any way should they desire. Never feel there is not a place here in Boquete to volunteer........whether it be a big or small thing...you will find your niche.
  4. Restaurant business Gym business Both...tough. They come and they go.
  5. Socio.. the History channel here on cable. Great show. What you learn is there are a lot of wonderful kind hearted people that start businesses that have zero business sense. The program shows folks doing the same things over and over never understanding why they are going backwards in their business until they are over their heads.. The star of the show Marcus Lemonis is an entrepreneur/ businessman who for a % of the business , invests his $ and turns the business around, giving the business owners excellent instruction all they way. The show is very instructive. There's a whole lot more to business success than having a good product ! Roger...does AMPYME still exist?
  6. 600 gal Tank was full in the morning. At midnight before we went to sleep the 600 tank was close to empty. (Somebody working for the twin of Boquete works late hours.) By the time we finished our morning coffee, the Brisas community water supply was again off. It's rare now to have water flowing during the day. You have to have a reserve tank in this area. I might mention that it was the visit of one of our community residents to the Mayor's office that got the water running. We are appreciative.
  7. Just got done with our baby pool filled bucket and a cup bath. ( we figured that should bring the water...always seems to). Got all dried off and a neighbor calls to tell us the Mayor is on it and water should be coming in tonight. For sure as soon as I hear it trickling in I'm rinsing off this chlorine ! I feel like I've been swimming in a municipal swimming pool ! Meanwhile we scooped up some water from the pool for morning toilet flushes just in case. Got the neighbors all set up too.
  8. Yah.. I got it Keith. Just up the road on the highway there's a hole in the line with the pressure being relieved . Maybe they need to replace the screw cause right now...we're scr**wd. Eh.....it is what it is. We've got some bottled water to drink. OK.....I'm going out to the baby pool for a bath and to collect some toilet flush water. One day the water will be back. Looks like rain. We've taken a shower in the roof water from the downspout before. It's quite refreshing.

I always feel real bad to see one in a cage...alone.
  10. Yah....."roach-like". It's not a roach as we know roaches. BIG...yes.
  11. Yes....I always enjoy my Rodny days. Lots of new folks in town and lots of old timers as well signing up. I always get to see somebody I've been missing for years! I love as well pumping Rodny's expert tech support person for information on numerous topics...he's a bright bulb and very talented indeed. Might be a good spot for CL to doc and introduce the web site. The more folks learn of this wonderful healthy web site the better the site (as well as the community) will be. PLUS we can give each other hugs again ! Love to you both. Folks like you make Boquete a very special place indeed. Love at first sight all the way around eh? Alison
  12. Early in the game down here I ordered two boogie boards. They were shipped in individual very large boxes. I paid an arm and five legs for them through MialBoxes Etc. ( I'm embarassed to even say how much it cost me) One week later Boogie boards were on sale in PriceSmart. Me?....not- so -Smart especially in that Barquetta is not exactly a user friendly boogie board spot. I spent more time with my face and a** in the churning sand than riding my pricey board.
  13. No Wry...it's the nuclear facility they hid inside the Baru crater. Ahhh..Panama, more leaks. We knew there were roaches here...but these are ROACHES ! Yehaaaaa !!!!! saddle and ride. (Cabalgata style)
  14. I always enjoy my day with Rodny when he signs up the new folks. (I'm a helper.) I don't do much but direct flow, help with odd jobs etc,but it's always a nice day for me. I met some nice folks again today and enjoyed my time. Best of all I finally got to meet Bud and Marcelyn, ChiriquiLife founders ...super duper great folks!. Rodny's service seems to always be improving. There's always new ideas shared with enthusiasm as they interact with the clients as well each other ( Rodny and his tech guy). I enjoy that. Thanks Rodny for what you do! The new cards got misprinted and are being re-done. They will be done shortly and you will receive notice where the card pickup spots will be. Sorry for the delay. Recent trip to Gangelones just outside of Gualaca April 2016. River low, no current. Great time!
  16. Thanks ! Now I know where to bring my items. I am very familiar with the Fundacion Pro-Integracion and know exactly where it is.
  17. I found the original notice from Mary Beth White ! The notice was sent out April 5th. Where is the Rehabilitation Center in Alto Boquete? Would this be the Foundation for the Handicapped? They are collecting these items now for a charity sale. Let me know if you know where exactly this center is. Clothes All sizes Shoes All sizes Furniture Kitchen items Toys Books Jewelry Gardening tools miscellaneous stuff
  18. Yup. He only has two rugs left and will give you a great deal. He does not like to take no for an answer ( persistent). Hates dogs ( ours scared the crap outta him). He left our house...dog waggin her tail after him. Our camera system probably got his pic.
  19. I need to donate some stuff. I saw a notice about a charity in Alto Boquete for the elderly poor that was having a yard sale . I can no longer find that notice. Anybody have information on that? If you do...where is the facility located?. I remember that was not in the original notice.
  20. Bud...that's exactly how we understood the Probate issue. A Foundation .....solution to the Probate problem. A couple of issues resonate with us: 1) time in Probate ( 8 months minimum average if non-contested) and 2) Cost paid to the attorney to sail you through it ( % of asset to the attorney) . In the long run we keep coming full circle to biting the bullet and placing our home's Corporation into a Foundation. Every attorney we have spoken to has told us that. As well every attorney has told us it would be 1) a pain in the tail and 2) expensive to dissolve the Corporation and replace it with a Foundation.
  21. Good. Many of us here bought our homes already in a Corporation. Annual expenses would double to put that Corporation within a Foundation...like $1200.00 a year tax and fees total.
