Update – Abandoned Blind Pony in Jaramillo Centro
JudyS replied to Moderator_02's topic in "News.Boquete" Archives
They can be removed if there is a veterinary ophthalmologist in Panama. A regular vet would not know how to do this. Thus would be a very specialized surgery. -
Update – Abandoned Blind Pony in Jaramillo Centro

What happened? I thought Jess was taking the pony. -
I just googled nematodes to see what the difference is. Some are beneficial, and some eat the roots of plants. You can't use just any nematodes on your garden. Naturally occurring bad ones are found in the soil here. A friend had trouble with them in her garden. I don't know if we also have good ones.

I hope somebody notices that the manholes are not flush with the new paving, but are 5 or 6 inches below street level, leaving tire-busting holes in every street.

I bought a wireless AC1200 router, dual band 2.4 and 5 GHz. It also uses wireless N. My older devices (Kindle Fire 5 and android TV box) should at least be able to connect to the 2.4 N, but they aren't doing it. They can connect to the router, but cannot make an internet connection. They enter an endless loop of "Authenticating..." Does anybody know if there is an adjustment to make these work?

Is Ajijic (México) the "Real" Boquete?
JudyS replied to Bud's topic in Idle Chatter / Personal Musings
Thanks for expanding on your post Jim. After thinking it sounded 1000% better than Boquete, I realized the tranquility there is artificial, maintained only by the vigilance of the security people who are keeping the gang wars away from the town. I even know Mexicans who won't go to Mexico. They are too scared. You certainly have been busy in your scouting. Thanks for doing some of the work for the rest of us. -

You're right Bonnie. I finally got it. It's good to know about the others though. -
Looking for name of an orthopedic doc

I found the name I was looking for. It is Dr. Jorge Beck. Thanks to everyone for their efforts to track this down, and for the other referrals. -

Is Ajijic (México) the "Real" Boquete?
JudyS replied to Bud's topic in Idle Chatter / Personal Musings
The guy who sent it to you is right. Looks 1000% better than Boquete. I wonder what the downside is (there always is one)? -
I called Larrie and told him to call Jess at the Boquete Equestrian Center. She rescues horses and might be able to help. He doesn't have any place to keep the pony, so if anybody else does, please call him.

Help with Kodi
JudyS replied to Wilson Baker's topic in Help Desk / Concierge Services (“I need ...”)
Exodus is working again? It disappeared and was replaced by Elysium, then Covenant. To Wilson, you can watch all the TV shows with these apps. I'm not sure what your problem is. -
Help with Kodi
JudyS replied to Wilson Baker's topic in Help Desk / Concierge Services (“I need ...”)
You have to install apps on Kodi. Go to "Get more..." and see what Kodi offers. There are other apps that have to be installed line by line, because Kodi doesn't support them (but they work on Kodi). These apps can give you movies and TV shows. Here are instructions for two apps. http://www.kodireviews.com/duckpool-addon/ https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-the-covenant-kodi-krypton/ -
That cannot be the same person.

Bringing A Pet Into Panama (From the USA)
JudyS replied to Admin_01's topic in Pets, Livestock, Animals
Please, please when you take a cat through security, be sure you have put a harness and leash on it before you take it out of the carrier. There is no reason a cat should escape. Do not let them x-ray your cat. That is not meant for animals and could be harmful.- 15 replies

American, 71, arrested in Boquete drug raid
JudyS replied to NewsLady's topic in "News.Boquete" Archives
Hopefully he'll go to a state where sanity prevails regarding marijuana. It sounded from the description that he had just a small personal stash. People over 70 don't get sent to jail here, so deportation is a likely alternative. Or maybe he had such a small amount, they will leave him alone. Like Bud said, this sounds like somebody turned him in as retaliation for something.
