  5. To all my amazing supporters in Boquete. It is a shame, but unfortunately, despite every good intention, and efforts towards it, I will not be returning to head the Green Room for the Festival again this year. I have been given the most delicious blessing in my beautiful new Granddaughter Alyssa, who at present is in my charge full time. To uproot her day to day routines, and head out for a month or so, simply has not been sitting well with me, and so I am handing the reigns to someone else now to carry on the work I began in 2012. I have no doubt the Green Room will continue to be the fantastic success is has been in the past, and I wish my successor(s) every good wish, and remain available to pass on any information and assistance they may require. I have been blessed with the time I spent in Boquete. What began as a 3 month volunteer stint, evolved into 6 years, and I will forever be appreciative for the opportunities and more importantly the friendships I have made. The Boquete community is one of a kind, and its amazing to have been a part of that. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank each and every one of you who have supported me in building the Green Room to what it has become today. All the volunteers and foodies who became involved and worked so hard, without you all, it simply would not have happened. Whilst, taking care of the artists and visitors is a lot of fun , it is hard work, and long hours, and each and every one of you have done an amazing job, whether it be working alongside me in the Green Room, or supplying amazing dishes to the buffets. Thank you so much for your invaluable support. For those of you who are new to Boquete, I recommend you become involved, in whatever capacity. You will have an amazing time, and make new friends. I wish the festival 2018 every success. I am sad to not be seeing my friends this time round, but I have no doubt I will descend upon your shores sometime in the future, and I will look forward to it. Thank you for all the love and memories with hugs from Kiwi Vicki “Down Under’ - Vicki Whittle vickiwhittle@me.com (+64) (0)21 954 998 skype : vixeniwi1

  7. I have picked up the Medical Discount Plan cards for all the people who renewed or initially signed up in late December and early January. If yours is a renewal, you will receive a new payment record card to keep at home, but your original wallet card will still be valid. I'll be walking around at the Tuesday Market with a sign around my neck that says MED PLAN CARDS." I'll attend the meeting at 10:30 and make an announcement there about the cards. After the meeting I'l try to hang out near the stairway to the parking lot Please try to see me and pick up your cards. You need them, and I don't! Bob Gregory P.S. If yours is a new enrollment and not a renewal, it will be a good idea to make an initial appointment with a doctor of internal medicine to get acquainted, provide your medical history and establish a file. This way if you need urgent or emergency care later, there will already be some information on file.
  8. Nature provides us with the medicine we need. After 2 years of looking, I found organic, wild harvested Lions Mane Mushroom to make a tincture. That's why I'm so excited to finally have this for myself, and offer it to you. Lions Mane has an extra benefit of being an edible mushroom with the taste and texture of lobster or crab. Also known as Hedgehog mushroom, it has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Lions Mane addresses the: The Brain and Nervous System (memory loss, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Nerve Regeneration, boosts the production of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) in nerve cells. By doing this, the mushroom maintains fore brain function, so the mushroom plays a role in the proper maintenance of the central nervous system as well as regenerative and protective effects on the brain’s biochemical pathways. It has been used for Parkinson's Disease and other neurological conditions for years. ALSO: Provides Perfect Immune Support Reduces Bad Cholesterol and Increases Good Cholesterol Has Anticancer Effects Treats Stomach and Ulcer conditions Balances Insulin Levels Heals Wounds I invite you to do your own research. 9. We've got one Fiddler, one Banjo player, and sometimes a Guitar and Bass player, feeling mighty lonely at the moment. If you play (or know anyone who does play) violin, banjo, mandolin, guitar we would love to kick it up a notch with some more acoustic instruments. I've got chord charts so if you know a few chords and can keep a beat there is no need to know the songs to play along. Give me a call or email if you want to give it a try.... Pat Thomas 6563-1344
