  1. Yep, saw that. Very funny. But I wonder how many people who received those emails and actually are regretting not replying to them?
  2. Another plus, this road improvement will make it safer for climbers and make it easier to remove all the trash. Susan did this hike last year on an overnight and was amazed at all the trash at the summit. Well over 30 folks were camping out with no bathroom facilities! Come morning all the 4 x 4's showed up with a lot more people. They need to increase the fee to hike to the summit to pay for improvements and facilities and have a limit on how many people can go up.
  3. So that is their priority? Gender ideology? The heck with impunity, corruption, and electoral fraud. Really? "threatened by “gender ideology” and marriage between people of the same sex". This is a threat to them?
  4. Heard some folks drove up the road in their 4 x 4. They said it was graded all the way to the summit and actually driveable!
  5. Just curious. Does Panama have driver's education in the high schools? Learners permit? By law, what are the instructional requirements to pass in order to get your drivers license for the first time? I know the eye, a hearing test is required but what drivers training is needed?
  6. Starting point, last I checked was the gas station at corner of McDonald's/Super 99 street and Interamerican.
  7. Must be having a shot of booze in it! Today from Starbucks site: Starbucks Prices Food Size Price White Chocolate Mocha Venti $4.75 Freshly Brewed Coffee Tall $1.85 Freshly Brewed Coffee Grande $2.10 Freshly Brewed Coffee Venti $2.45 126 more rows Starbucks Prices - Fast Food Menu Prices https://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/starbucks/
  8. What a fascinating and sad report. Guess one day that Starbucks coffee will cost you $10!
  9. Easy fix. Last time I got my 25# tank filled it only cost $5.00. In Guatemala, the government gives people the tanks but they still have to pay for the refills. Consequently, they do not refill them and resort to cutting down the very few trees they have left for firewood. https://blogs.cofc.edu/envt-200/2017/02/02/deforestation-in-guatemala/ Probably one of the many reasons Panama has a subsidy on the price of the tanks.

    Great review! Thanks!
  12. Interesting. There is a lot of new road and road improvements projects. The Wednesday hike this morning was up to the end of Palmira road at the rancho and 3 way split. For a mile or two, the road is under going grading work. Lots of big heavy trucks. The picture is at the top looking across the canyon down by Potrerillos where the roads will eventually link up. The truck in the photo is on the new road. Above it is a lot of drainage work.
  13. I agree. We have attended this event for 3 years in a row. There are very few Jazz musicians compared to the Blues musicians. Perhaps they have changed the name as they can not get the genre of musicians they hope for.
  14. That's the place. Heard the Dry Express near EP furniture in David does seamstress work. http://www.amarillasinternet.com/pa/david/lavanderias_lavado_planchado_zapatos/dry_express_lavanderias.html
  15. Went to him 2 times to get pants hemmed. We marked them as well with the desired length. The last time he hemmed them way too short. Can not correct the hems or now wear 2 brand new jeans. We won't go back.
  16. Very wise statement! Let them do their job and let's all move along to other topics! PLEASE!
