Under the Forum topic Clubs and Groups, there is a category Buy and Sell where people can post things for sale. You have to click a couple of times to find this topic, and it isn't obvious (if you don't already know) where it is. Currently Buy/Sell isn't getting much traffic. If people didn't have to hunt for it, it would probably get a lot more use. Please make it a stand-alone Forum topic.

JudyS replied to Marcelyn's topic in Miscellaneous Chiriquí Topics
Here is an article about it from Casa Solution's newsletter. http://www.casasolution.com/uncategorized/davids-new-huge-mall-transport-station-is-a-go/ -
Could you make Buy & Sell its own stand-alone topic instead of burying it in Clubs and Groups?

Have you grown any extra limbs or started playing the piano when you couldn't before? -
Red lights are so new to David, who knows?

Well I guess this is one thing I'm going to forget about. I'll keep it in Dolega. No problem.

Inquiry about abandoned building under construction
JudyS replied to Marcelyn's topic in Miscellaneous Chiriquí Topics
That property has been like that as long as I have been here. There is some kind of dispute about it, and there is probably legal action going on. The mayor can't resolve it. It's the responsibility of the courts or the parties involved to resolve it. -
$50? Somebody else said it was $15. Earlier information I had said $10. Are you sure about that fee?

Keith, are you saying if my renewal is due in July, and I want to change the registration from Dolega to Boquete, I have to do it in July? I went in July 2015 to do that. I had all the paperwork, except I had not done the registration for that year yet (I wanted to do it in Boquete). They told me I had to do the registration first, then come back to do the change. So will I have to wait until next year, register again in Dolega, then go to the Boquete office to make the change for the following year?

The body has its own agenda. Even if you want to die and are ready, the body hangs on. It is programmed for survival, not philosophy. It will hang on beyond all reason. That is why enlightened states in the U.S. have passed laws to allow assisted suicide, to prevent prolonged, useless suffering when there is no chance of recovery. It is highly unlikely such laws will ever exist in Panama.

Where to find good bed linens
JudyS replied to Bonnie's topic in Help Desk / Concierge Services (“I need ...”)
Price Smart and DoIt Center have high thread count sheets that are very soft (300 or 350, don't remember),100% cotton, have deep pockets for thick mattresses, and are large enough. They are very nice. -
Boquete.ning...isn't it strange?
JudyS replied to Gordon Bakke's topic in Idle Chatter / Personal Musings
Baru restaurant (across the street from the post office) has good wood-fired pizza. I have heard the Italian restaurant across from Sugar & Spice also has good pizza. I like wood-fired thin crust, so that is the basis for my recommendations. -
I didn't take Part B when I turned 65, because I couldn't use it. A few years later, I did the calculations and found there is no advantage to dropping Part B if you ever anticipate receiving medical care in the U.S. Over a lifetime, if you enroll later, you will pay much more. I wish I had just kept it when I qualified at 65. I re-signed up at age 71 and am paying about $160/month instead of $106. I know I will be going back to the States eventually. Being very old here is a nightmare. You don't want to be here when you are ancient, if you are that lucky (or unlucky). There are no services available like there are in the U.S.

This might not be ning's Ambreen. Why would a dietitian be moderating ning?
-
I looked on ning and didn't find the reference in the search function. Found it down in older posts. It's a useful link. I'm putting it here. James Keihl: I have equipment to clean carpets, rugs, and upholstery. Please email me @ jimkeihl21857@gmail.com Also have hard floor cleaner and a steam cleaner for kitchens, tile and grout Panama legal with a work permit.

There was a post with an email for someone who rents equipment for cleaning carpets. I can't find it. Could someone give that to me again?
