  1. I don't know. Mine came from Amazon. But it might be available locally.
  2. Did you read my post about Gingko Biloba for dogs? It has certainly helped my dog to be less terrified. She still doesn't like the fireworks but now she doesn't tremble and shake.
  3. I'm not clear on this either. Aren't most of the discounts available to jubilados anyway? Also, if I wanted to sign up from Volcan, would there be a way to pay via PayPal instead of having to come to Boquete to do it with cash or check?
  4. I read it's good for a couple of things. I've been giving two 60mg tablets daily to two of my dogs. Each weighs about 40 lbs. One was peeing on the floor every night. After a couple of weeks of the Ginkgo Biloba, now she seldom does it. The other is TERRIFIED of fireworks, thunder, and even heavy rain. After giving her the Ginkgo Biloba for about 10 days, at least she doesn't tremble and shake all over like she's about to have a stroke! I will probably give the Ginkgo Biloba a long time, if not forever. If your dogs have either problem, it's worth a try. Dottie
  5. The link above does not give me a pdf document. It goes to https://mail.yandex.com/?retpath=https%3A%2F%2Fmail.yandex.com%2Fre.jsx%3Fh%3Da%2C44SbB_IWfZIhJmfvxBRjTw%26l%3DaHR0cDovL3d3dy5jaGlyaXF1aS5saWZlL3RvcGljLzQzNTktYWx0by1hbC1jcmltZW4tbWVkaWNhbC1kaXNjb3VudC1wbGFuLWFubm91bmNlbWVudC8_ZG89ZmluZENvbW1lbnQmY29tbWVudD0xMjMwOQ
  6. No problem, Rodny. Bud explained how it could take a couple of days after I sent the money for it to reach your account. Thanks for your help and service.
  7. $20 for the pair. Included free is the book, "Weight Training Made Easy" by Joyce L. Vedral. Weight Training Made Easy: Transform Your Body in Four Simple Steps. https://www.amazon.com/Weight-Training-Made-Easy-Transform/dp/0446671096/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1482362712&sr=1-1&keywords=weight+training+made+easy I am in Volcan, just one block from Burricos. Come to Volcan, have a nice lunch at Burricos, and pick up your dumbbells and book.
  8. Your first thought was no doubt correct, Bud. I just received my renewal confirmation.
  9. Thanks, Bud. I'll keep watch until perhaps next Monday to see if the "payment due" message goes away.
  10. On the 19th I transferred $80 from my bank to Rodny's bank account. I sent him the email, which is requested to notify him of payment. I'm still getting messages that I have not renewed my account with him. Does Mark Heyer still work with him? If so, can he take care of this? (I don't have Mark's email address.) Thank you.

  12. Thanks, Susan. I found everything I needed for the celebration, but at this time our Todo a Dollar didn't have anything. You never know what they will have!
  13. Many thanks to David Dell for creating this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfwmi7iPBeU Dr. Tello was totally surprised, which was the plan. I was completely surprised also! I wanted to give acknowledgement to everyone who helped create this celebration. I didn't expect anything in return--but the surprise Certificate of Appreciation given to me by the volunteers brought tears to my eyes. The video gives a good overview of what we do each month (except December). Some of the volunteers are not shown in the video and several of the procedures during each clinic are not shown, but pictures of each are shown in my Flickr web album. The link for the Flickr album is on my web page, http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/100th.html or if you want to skip the web page, see the Flickr album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/panama_expat/sets/72157676960214356 The video also omits the fact that each animal receives, in addition to anesthesia, they also receive injections for pain, a long -lasting antibiotic, B-complex, and antiparasite that lasts for 3 months, plus a topical application for fleas and ticks.. And also on my web page at http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/100th.html there is a link that gives credit to everyone who participated in making this 100th celebration possible! Please click the link on my web page and personally give your appreciation to these contributors. My heartfelt thanks to David Dell, to our volunteers, to the people who bring their animals to be sterilized, and to our contributors--whether financial or otherwise. Francia Pinedo will meet with David Dell to do a voice overview of this in Spanish. Publishing this video in Spanish will be equally if not more important than the English version. After all, our purpose is to serve the Panamanian community. I'll publish that link when the Spanish version is available. Love, hugs, thanks to everyone! 14. Thank you, Judy and Marcelyn. Within a few days I'll be able to post a link to a video taken during the clinic. I'm excited!
  15. http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/100th.html We had a grand celebration for our 100th clinic! See my web page for details. 45 animals were spayed/neutered by Dr. Andres Tello, our wonderful veterinarian, plus he performed 10 other procedures: exams, extracting teeth, removing growths from an already sterilized dog, etc. Three of my own dogs were among the 10 extra procedures. With one, he removed a growth from underneath her chin and recommended a medication for another condition she has. With another, he removed a growth on her gum in her mouth. At this November 20, 2016 clinic Dr. Tello sterilized 25 dogs and 20 cats. Of the dogs, 19 were female and 6 were male. Of the cats, 17 were female and 3 were male. This brings our total of sterilized dogs and cats to 3,707. We never know what will be necessary at a clinic, so thank God for the expertise of Dr. Tello. One small dog was in heat and she bled profusely during spaying because of the distended veins. Dr. Tello stopped the bleeding but said she needed a blood transfusion. Go to my web page and the link to my Flickr album to see pictures of how this blood transfusion was done. Please call for appointments for January 22nd. Call quickly because we already have 34 appointments on the list! (No clinic in December.) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Dottie
  16. Does anyone know where to find the paper bells, folded flat, but when opened, they make a colorful bell shape. I hope someone in Volcan sells these; if not, I will go to David. I will appreciate any information. November 20 will be our 100th spay/neuter clinic in Volcan. We have some great celebrations planned, but it just occurred to me that some of those paper bells would be a nice addition. Thank you!
  17. I had those on my Price Smart shopping list for MONTHS and finally gave up.
  18. OK, I finally got it. They sure don't make it easy, but thank you for the detailed instructions.
  19. Thanks for the detailed information. However, I'm unable to fill out the form - it appears as a jpg or something that doesn't accept input. (And I don't participate in FaceBook). Would you please post Melissa's exact contact information? (Maybe you already did, but Keith's big list of contacts was confusing--I had no idea which one to contact.) Thanks.
  20. There is an email address posted in the store for contacts/suggestions. A LONG time ago I asked them to get more of the 8 oz. McCormicks pure vanilla extract and to stock the Kirklands peanut butter. Now, at least a year later, the items have not again been on the shelves and I received no reply. (They stock a lot of Kirkland products, including almond butter, so why in the heck can't they get the Kirkland's atural peanut butter?) I also requested the Swanson's chicken stock in cans long ago. From a post in this topic maybe they have those again. I'll look during my next trip.
  21. http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/99th.html - This is driving me crazy!
  22. Grrrrrr! The link given in my post about the web page for the 99th spay/neuter clinic is correct, but I get a "site not found." Please try this one. http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/99th.html I hope this one will work! Let me know if you have any problems accessing the page. Thanks. Thanks. Dottie

  24. Thus far, we have spayed/neutered 3,662 dogs/cats, which would have otherwise resulted in births of thousands of animals that that would have been abandoned—those who would have suffered horrible lives on the streets—if they survived. When some of those unfortunate dogs and cats have survived, male and female alike, they have also contributed to the overpopulation. Please see my web page for this 99th clinic: http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/99th.html for some heartwarming reports and also see my Flickr album of pictures taken during the clinic.on October 23, 2016. My heartfelt thanks to all those who bring their animals to our clinics to be sterilized, to Dr. Andres Tello (our excellent veterinarian), to our dedicated volunteers, and to those who contribute funds, food or otherwise to help support this very important project for Volcan and the surrounding communities. November 20th will be our final clinic for 2016. The list of appointments for November is already half full, so please call immediately if you want an appointment. For Spanish, call Jose Espisosa, 6891-0999. The quote by Albert Schweitzer on my home page is absolutely true: “"Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace."
