  1. A wonderful volunteer stepped forward and is flying to mail to the U.S. today (Wednesday). If you have a trip planned to the US, could you email Penny at pjbarrett@aol.com the Monday of the week you are leaving. We need someone every week to take the mail. This is one of the small things that makes Boquete a great community to be in.
  2. We need someone who is going to the U.S. in the next couple of days to take the mail and dump it into a U.S. mail box. It's just a small bag. We thought we had someone but he failed to pick up the mail. We collect US and Canada bound mail every Tuesday morning in front of the BCP theater between 9 and 11:30 If you can take the mail, please email pjbarrett@aol.com Thanks so much. Penny

  6. Laser Medical is back in Boquete This year Drs. Harrison and Andrew have again brought their medical laser from their regenerative medicine practice in the USA with them to Boquete. They are working with Dra. Diaz to offer treatments at her clinics in Boquete and David. Treat your toenails to a new look! Nail fungus is so easy to get yet so hard to get rid of! Medications for nail fungus are expensive; have side effects; and rarely work well. Our laser goes right through the nail and kills the fungus dead. Brand new nails grow out. Quick, painless, cheaper and safer than a long course of anti-fungal medication. Get rid of “Age” Spots Age spots, “liver spots”, "sun spots" and even large pigmented lesions rapidly fade after laser treatment. The laser can also do facial rejuvenation and treatment of rashes like rosacea and melasma. Remove Spider Veins Small spider veins and cherry angiomas disappear with one or two laser treatments. Warts, moles and acne can also be treated with this laser. Prolotherapy Too! Many of you have asked about the availability of prolotherapy treatment for arthritis, especially of the knees and hips. We are pleased to announce that this year we are getting a centrifuge for the Alfa Clinic so that they can prepare PRP for prolotherapy treatments. This will cut the number of necessary treatments by half, so you’ll get better quicker. For an appointment in Boquete please call Dra. Diaz at 6615-6740. For questions about pricing or more detailed information about the treatments send your email to: questions @bajareque.com.

  17. Although there will be a BCP Tuesday Morning Market on January 16, there will be no BCP Sunday Matinee Movies on January 14 and 21. Although one can get around Bajo Boquete in the mornings during Boquete's big Flower and Coffee Festival, afternoons can be a nightmare, and sometimes they close the bridge to vehicular traffic. The BCP parking lot has been used as paid parking for the Feria, so BCP afternoon events will not be a good idea from January 11 through 21. Our regular schedule will resume on January 28. January 28 - Rumble: The [American] Indians Who Rocked the World (USA - 2017) February 4 - Everything is Illuminated (USA - 2005) February 11 - Amargosa (USA - 2000) -- David van Harn Curator, Boquete Film Club
