That's great. We luckily know his daughter and got to meet them both and see his observatory. He is brilliant! We learned so much and look forward to his presentation. He knows his stuff!

Where to buy cattle wire/hog fence
TwoSailors replied to Jay Kay's topic in Help Desk / Concierge Services (“I need ...”)
Hi Jay, We just did this for our back yard. We bought 4 foot high wire, on a 100 foot roll at Ivan. They will cut what you need. We used 5 foot 1/2 inch rebar that they will cut to size for you as well for the post. We fenced in our yard 90 x 66 spacing the 5 foot rebar every 4 feet and wire tied it up. No more escaped dogs and cost less then $180. Hope this helps. -
Retro Gusto- A New Reason Not to Cook
TwoSailors commented on Phyllis Mc's blog entry in A Bit of Boquete Bliss
Had dinner at Retro Gusto last week. Pros: Great atmosphere, attentive servers, great menu and very reasonably priced and nice choices on the wine list. Agree with Phyllis that hopefully the "promotional prices" stay the same. Cons: Timing of meals coming out of the kitchen is very slow, took an hour to get our meals after we placed the order. There were only 5-6 other tables. Looking around at other tables people also were waiting for their food. Filet Mignon ordered Med Rare came out well done. Pork chop over cooked and dryed out. David did offer to re do the entrees but we didn't want to wait another hour and he did offer complimentary Limoncello. We will go back and give it another try.- 6 comments

Well said Phyllis. We especially like your comment that young and new expats are moving in and you love your "new" friends attitude! We are some of the "newbies" and it is refreshing to read about your mind set after being here 13 years and your attitude is great! Thanks for sharing and making us feel at home!

Totally Agree... put it in the heading on the main page. Likely to get a LOT more interest!!

Riba Smith? One can hope! -
Just did the crossing at Rio Sereno 2 weeks ago. Easy!! Panama exit: Only wanted copy of passport. Asked where we were going. Costa Rica entry: Copy of passports, and fill out Immigration form asking for return flight number to home country. Costa Rica exit: get your exit stamp from the hardware store. $8.00 each. Fill out same Immigration form. Panama entry: Wanted to see $500 cash. Showed them our Panama bank statement and that covered it. Copy of passport. Wanted to see return flight reservation back to states. Last time Panama did not ask for cash or airline info. Different day different folks!
