  5. Fénix Café is the replacement for what was previously known as La Villa Café located in the BCP complex. La Villa was important to our community, and we all wish Lucy well in her new ventures. It is reasonable to do what we can now to support the new Fénix management. It has been four days since this topic was locked. It is perfectly acceptable to disagree with someone here on CL, but one of CL's guidelines is that disagreement needs to be done in a respectful manner. CL's management is unlocking this topic so that our community can continue its discourse about and support for Fénix.

  7. My understanding of what you are trying to do is file for legal residency without the assistance of a competent attorney. Probably not the wisest approach to achieving your desired end goal to my way of thinking. Wishing you all the best. When you get to the end of this process, would you mind posting your experiences here on CL?

  9. Not really sure what you are looking for, but assuming that you are talking about Executive Decree No. 145 dated March 17th, 2017, I am uploading a PDF version of that two page document. Perhaps that will help. Decreto Ejecutivo No 145 del 17 de marzo de 2017.pdf

  12. “Many participants are from Panama City, but many are from rural areas with open one-room school houses,” said staff instructor John DePriest. “Each group has about 25 contact hours per week. They are not only trying to improve their language ability, but they are also trying to benefit from Tulane’s scholarly environment.” As part of the exchange program, DePriest and his colleagues will travel to Panama City in May where they will meet to discuss a new layer to the program in which American graduates are invited to become assistant teachers in Panama. “This experience helped me grow tremendously as an educator,” said staff instructor Elizabeth Rafferty. “It was a reminder of the layers that have to be peeled back until you get to the true learner so that authentic student-teacher interaction can happen and true learning can move forward. For the first time in 30 years, they made me forget that English isn’t their first language. It really was a stunning experience.” https://tulane.edu/help-tulane-panama-aims-become-completely-bilingual-country
