    This sounds like the Panamanian producers are seeking help that they don’t deserve. Suppose they will become more efficient and competitive? Too many children here......we don’t want a milk shortage.

    We attended a large gathering of both gringos and Panamanians yesterday. Talked with one gringo couple who had no knowledge of the robberies occurring in the area. These people have lived in Boquete full time for seven years. Keep to themselves because “too much gossip” was their explanation. Seemed like nice people.

    Last Wednesday (August 1st), a man approached a neighbor’s house here in El Santuario asking if her husband was home and wanting to use her bathroom. She refused to open the yard gate so the man finally walked away from her property. Fortunately her gardener had left and closed the gate just three minutes before the stranger appeared. She described the wanta-be intruder as early middle age and plump. Same m.o. as other reported incidents.

    I still believe not everyone in Boquete looks at Facebook. There are various information streams and we should use all methods for distribution of information this important that could affect all of us ...IMO.

    Fabulous idea for Panama to have well trained teachers, necessary equipment, and a update technical curriculum. Longer school day for students might be a good idea also IMO.

    “Many pedestrians in Boquete cross the street routinely without looking for traffic” Could this explain all the horn blowing——especially by those yellow vehicles? ?

    The student tried crossing six lanes of traffic (per this article). I was not present, but maybe the driver didn’t see the officer or the student. Sad story.

    In agreement but why don’t Panamanians advertise their business? I never saw any advertisement for the Donut Shop next to Dra. Sanjur’s dental office; opened for a short time and now closed?
