TwoSailors Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Ristorante Parmigiana Out Of Business??? Drove by today and there is a new sign N22 ...??? Anyone know what the story is? Quote
JohnF13 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 The old owners are moving to Italy (or so they told me) guess the new people wanted a new name Quote
Keith Woolford Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 No parking = No go This location sucks. Besides the restaurant, it's previously been unsuccessful as a coffee shop, bookstore, wine boutique, and private offices. Quote
TwoSailors Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 Drove through town tonite after the grand opening of the new reloacted Boquete Brewery, (which BTW is a great addition to town) and dinner at A Pizza. And as usual great pizza! That section of town was mobbed with folks...definitely should be considered Boquetes Restaurant row! On the way out of town all the restaurants appeared very filled with patrons...except N 22. 1 Quote
PenRip Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 We ate there last night and it was GREAT!! Super food, good menu, service and price is right!! Where Parmesiano's used to be....across from Sugar & Spice, across the bridge from Fish House. Ate on the deck....give it a try. Keep them in business. Quote
Pat Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I agree with the words about food, service, and pricing. The lack of parking is a real problem, however. Quote
PenRip Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Yes, it's true...but I've managed to find a spot at the car wash across the street, or at Sugar & Spice when they are closed (Wednesdays at after 6 other days), or even on the side streets. Once I parked in the back lot of Fundadores and walked the short block. No matter what...the food is worth the hike. Check this attachment out.... Quote
TwoSailors Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 Nice, and thanks for the report Do they have a web site so you can see the details of their menu and specials? They kinda of opened on the QT...not much PR. Quote
MarieElaine Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Compared to Mikes, The Sandwich Shop and Sugar and Spice, they seem a little expensive. 1 Quote
TwoSailors Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 And Senor Heros, Boquete Fish House, Apizza, Boquete Brewery, Tree Trek, and about a dozen other places. $9.50 for a sandwich?? That location would do well as Wine and Tapas Bar with light jazz entertainment. If the Brewery can be successful then why not a great wine/Jazz bar?? But we do wish them luck. If you have a great concept, food, service, reasonable prices for the locals and tourist crowd, and promote it well, folks will not care where they park. I even can suggest a name: The Boquete Wine and Jazz Club. Quote
JohnF13 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Just love the way some people talk. Sometimes, you get what you pay for....As for suggestions as to what other people should do with their money, well, that's just socialism at it's worst. Got an idea? Fine, put up YOUR money and try it. 3 Quote
MarieElaine Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 As usual, there are Panamanian prices and Gringo pricing. Socialism? I have heard Two Sailors called many things but never Socialists. LOL Quote
Querencia Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 With these gringo prices I wonder if they pay their staff gringo wages.Good luck to them but I won't even be stepping in the door. Now that's free market economics. 2 Quote
Keith Woolford Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 N22 closed and went to Volcan. No surprise, no parking. Other places count on Plaza Los Establos to provide parking for their clients, which is unfair to the businesses who pay rent there.. 1 Quote
Marcelyn Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I am also not surprised that N22 is closed. No parking was a serious problem and trying to get along that busy "freeway" street was sometimes scary. Best wishes for them in Volcan. Quote
TwoSailors Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Can not remember the name of the short lived place that took over Parmigiano but drove by today and the sign is gone and is empty! Looks like they left just as quietly as they opened! Another one bites the dust! Quote
Bud Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 N22. We tried it once and it was good food and good service. Reasonable charges, and they voluntarily offered the jubilado discount. Only trouble was that there was no one else there. Apparently the lack of customers took its toll. We suspect the lack of parking was a major factor, although we never had a problem with parking at Sugar and Spice and then walking over. Quote
TwoSailors Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Ok...I missed this one! Duh! On 3/12/2017 at 10:34 AM, Keith Woolford said: N22 closed and went to Volcan. No surprise, no parking. Keith Woolford Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Really, I should have titled it better Quote
Bud Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 In driving by the old Parmigiano (aka N22) Restaurant today, there was a new sign out front. It now says "Kamcha, Peruvian Brasas". Anyone know what is happening now at this eatery that is seemingly doomed because of lack of parking? Quote
TwoSailors Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 Wish them luck! They will need it, and a lot of operating capital! Quote
Bonnie Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 "Brasa" means hot coal or ember, so my guess would be that it will feature grilled meat and chicken, Peruvian style. Quote
