  1. Thank you, Jim. That's the information I needed. And thank you, Penny. I have been to Palacio, but I wanted to check out Su Carne.
  2. Sorry, yes I posted under "Classified" in error. It's somewhat confusing to have two "Miscellaneous" folders. Perhaps the Miscellaneous under the forums could be called "Miscellaneous Forum Topics" or something similar to clarify, and under the Classified, "Miscellaneous Classified Items.".
  3. Originally posted under "Miscellaneous," which I now find does not allow responses. (Chris, please post directions. Thanks.) It certainly seems that responses should be allowed under "Miscellaneous."
  4. Someone sent me a private message. Until then, I didn't know we can send private messages. But please tell me how to do so. Thanks.
  5. Would someone give me explicit directions to these two places in David. (No google map, please. I can't tell head nor tails about these). Thank you.
  6. Strange...my Panasonic refrigerator does not make the loud thump you mention. And it is so quiet, that at first I was concerned that it wasn't running.
  7. I purchased it at Rodelag but other stores also had it at the time. I don't know if the same model is still available. It has two doors in front (side by size). Below that is a deep drawer (refrigerated) that has a pull-out tray. Really holds a lot of stuff. Then on the bottom is the freezer. It also has a pull-out tray. This is the best refrigerator I've ever had in my entire life.
  8. I don't know how the inverter works, but it's supposed to require less electricity for the refrigerator..
  9. Continuing off topic: I don't know what size fridge you want, but a couple of years ago I bought a large Panasonic with inverter. I hesitated to buy it because I couldn't find any reviews, but hands down, it's the best refrigerator I've ever had
  10. Roger, I did everything you suggested. But now I've spent more time than it's worth. Contrary to your statement, I have no confidence in Acodeco. Based on my experience, I wouldn't bother to file a complaint with them again. Also, according to Pat and Susan, you had to get involved to finally get resolution of their case.
  11. Woody, where do you live, and may I "pick your brain" about how to set up a solar system. Also, if you hired someone, who was it? Thanks.
  12. I agree ACODECO is worthless, not worth the trouble. Coffee Mountain Inn in Santa Fe refused to give me the jubilado discount. Soon after, on December 10, 2014 (a year ago) I filed a complaint with ACODECO. I hired a translator to go with me. I have in hand a resolution that says the owner of Coffee Mountain Inn is supposed to be fined $200 and I am to be refunded $138.38. But I sure haven't seen the money and I very much doubt that Coffee Mountain Inn has paid the fine. During this entire year, I have spent useless time in their office, and from time to time I have my employee call to check the status. Each time we are told "call back next month." The person in David handling my "case" is Dalila, 775-2536.. (If Roger Bellido can get this resolved, I'll gladly give him half of what I'm refunded.) I give up. The time I've spent and the aggravation is worth more than $136.
  13. Hahaha...the cardboard cops would look more "authentic" if the motorcycle wheels weren't a foot off the ground. There was one between Concepcion and David, but it's long gone. Probably stolen.
  14. "... that woman can talk and talk and talk and talk." If visiting ning gives them a "hit," then I'm "contributing" to them. I'm not a member but I can read what's posted there. I'm drawn by morbid curiosity to see what nonsense will come forth next from Olga's mouth/fingers. She consistently misses the point when responding to someone who disagrees with her. She doesn't even live in Panama, much less Boquete, but just because she's "Latino," she thinks that qualifies her to run a Boquete site.
  15. Laser level, electric clothes dryer, electric tools. Other items too numerous to mention here. For complete list with pictures, descriptions and prices, see https://picasaweb.google.com/muffiemae/ForSaleDottie65178752 Dottie, muffiemae@gmail.com, 6517-8752. I am in Volcan.
  16. ATTT in Volcan, right in town, are worthless. Not only do vehicles speed on the main street but on other streets--any road that is paved. People walk along those roads, often without sidewalks. The speeding vehicles (cars, buses, trucks) are dangerous to people and animals. I "tweeted" ATTT about the problem. Did it do any good? Of course not.
  17. It's interesting how life can change! When I moved to Panama 11-plus years ago, I thought I didn't even LIKE dogs.
  18. Thank you,Bid. Yes, please do delete the errant text. This is the first time it has happened to me.
  19. Thank you, JoJo. The Paypal donate button is on the web page, http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/89th.html
  20. On November 22nd we ended the year with out biggest clinic ever! Dr. Tello sterilized 53 dogs and cats, which brings our total thus far to 3,266. http://spaypanama-chiriqui.org/89th.html We will have a well-deserved rest until January 24th. Thanks to all of our volunteers. This work couldn't be done without you. Hugs and thanks to you all. And I am grateful that I have found my true purpose in this life. And thanks to all who have brought dogs and cats to be sterilized. You are helping to reduce the suffering due to overpopulation. Happy holidays to everyone. We will have our 90th clinic on January 24, 2016. Dottie
  21. Well, I finally got it--by doing over and over what I'd done dozens of times, I was FINALLY asked for a cell phone number for verification! And I thought I hated yahoo....
