    This posting is troublesome for several reasons. Besides the fact that policeman is seriously wounded, but also a daylight robbery in a government office. Dumb. Although this incident is not specifically related to Chiriquí, I have opted to place it here because this kind of attack could just as easily occur at a government office in David. Further, the article clearly says that all DGI offices countrywide are temporarily suspended. And finally, i am confused.     Note the reference to turtle egg poaching in the last sentence of the above article. That is important, given instances of poaching that have occurred in the past. Here is just one topic related to turtle egg poaching: I recall many years ago that dozens of people from the Chiriqui highlands area went off on expeditions to search out and "protect" the turtle eggs. I seem to recall the Boca Chica area was one large egg area. Perhaps some of CL's members who are involved in conservation matters can elaborate?
