  8. Marcelyn and I attended the Thursday, March 14th performance of A Red Plaid Shirt at the BCP Theater. It was a full house. During the performance there was an unexpected (natural, not part of the script) earthquake that caused a few momentary "what the hey" expressions by the actors, but the show went on. During the second half, I heard a couple of people in the audience comment in a low voice words to the effect that some of the script was touching on sensitive thoughts about real life and aging. The performers did a wonderful job, especially given that the script was detailed and that there were numerous scene changes. This was another successful event produced by BCP. Thank you. Here are some pictures taken during this second day performance of The Red Plaid Shirt. Here is the "curtain call" at the end of the performance. And here is the program brochure for this show.
  9. Thanks Keith. I completely missed your posting about the Potrerillos area tremors. Things make more sense with that piece of information added to the picture, especially timing-wise. Maybe I should merge these two topics to keep things together. Hmmm. Thoughts?

  13. Seems that there were two (or three?) earthquakes on the same day but in or affecting different parts of Panama. This was last Thursday, March 14th. The first image below is earlier in the day in the Panama City area, magnitude 4.3 according to this source. The second image is late afternoon in the Sabalito area of Costa Rica, magnitude 2.8 according to this source. Marcelyn and I were attending the BCP performance of A Red Plaid Shirt, and we felt the second tremor. It was NOT a rumbling earthquake, but rather a very short jolting that reminded me of the spat of tremors about a decade ago that lasted for many weeks here in our area. There is a bit of a puzzle in my mind, as the timing of this second reported earthquake does NOT synch up with my recollection of when we felt the jolt at the BCP Theater. I recall it being about an hour later (and no, I am not confused about time zone issues here).
  14. BD is a bit caustic (IMHO), but I have to agree with his basic message. The link does not show on my tablet. When looking at it on my desktop machine, the words show, but the link does not work. Lots of wasted energy here on my end.
