Thanks. From your description, I know exactly where it is located. Will give it a try in the near future.
That building is where I had my first lunch (it was a sandwich place back then) when I was new to Boquete. That was November of 2001. Wow, does time fly when you're having fun.
Panama Roasters?

Hydroelectrics upstream, I believe.

Marcelyn,
The Revisado inspection certificate you receive is valid until the end of the due month in the following year.
For example, if the vehicle's renewal month is November, the Revisado obtained in November 2015 will be 'vigente' or valid until November 30th, 2016.
The annual fee for the Plate would be due by November 30th to the Municipality where the vehicle is registered.
Cost of Plates vary depending on the number of passengers the car is rated for and/or whether it's a truck or motorcycle. Current range is from $31 to $47.
Taller QuickFix across from Plaza Los Establos now provides the 'inspection' service, saving a trip to David.
There is no five day window anywhere in the process and third parties can do any of these steps.

These photos were posted on Twitter during the last big storm on November 6th.
The old westbound section of the bridge had to be closed for safety reasons.
This is a very wide, shallow river.

Certainly not convenient but one of the best places I've found to look for high quality sheets at good prices is Dorian's in Albrook Mall.

Baru restaurant (across the street from the post office) has good wood-fired pizza. I have heard the Italian restaurant across from Sugar & Spice also has good pizza. I like wood-fired thin crust, so that is the basis for my recommendations.
Interesting. I never knew the pizza @ Baru was wood-fired.

In principle I agree Dan.
In this case, the upgrade was an easy fix for problems I was having with a bogus copy of Windows 7.

What do I have to hide, anyway? The words I use or the way I spell them?
I don't keep my sexy, nude photos in the Cloud and never 'store' Credit Card info.
Is Microsoft going to 'steal' more of my personal data than Apple or Google?

Many years ago I complained to a Tico about the condition of roads in Costa Rica.
He replied that "yes, they are bad, but they go everywhere".

Bridges are expensive. Add that to the actual cost of the road and I would suspect you are into tens of millions.
The road exists.

Your views about pothole priorities should be directed to the local Diputada, Athenas Athanasadias.
Alternatively, you can to go down to the Alcaldia and speak to the Mayor, Emigdio Walker.

Windows 10 is working fine for me. The computer actually seems to start and run much faster.
The only couple of glitches I've had were with drivers from NVIDIA and Brother that hadn't yet been updated.
By the way, I have previously avoided these upgrades and was someone who still ran Windows 95 when Vista was being introduced.
What does Bud say?

Fear of the unknown?
A techie friend suggested I install Windows 10 on my old desktop in order to overcome some freezing problems I was having using the bootleg Spanish-based version of 7 that Juan's people had installed.
The upgrade install was easy, and I like the results.
If I'm not mistaken. the first Windows 10 update comes out today,

Noticed there were "Ya Abrimos" signs on the place this afternoon.

Do you have a contact for Mary Ellen Watts or Annie O'Mohundro who run the children's art classes at the Library?

Bill Clinton was in Panama today to participate in the inauguration of the new wind farm near Penonome in the province of Coclé.

Employer-Employee relations are generally not enhanced when the Employer pulls out a gun and fires it a few times.

The current discussions on newning are mostly between Canadians talking about stuff that isn't Panama related.
note to Keith and other Canadians:

Glad to hear everyone is OK.At noon I had just left home for Dolega when I realized I forgot something in the casa. When I turned around at the Caldera turnoff and returned two Police officers had just set up about 1 km north of the intersection and they were stopping northbound vehicles. While I was waiting to go through, the newer blue/white Ford patrol unit came flying down the highway southbound and the officers inside told the two stopping northbound vehicles that they were on the wrong side of the road. The blue/white Ford then turned around and high-tailed it back to Las Trancas where they parked in the entrance. When I had retrieved my document at home and was headed southbound again, the blue/white pickup was still in the Las Trancas entrance and the first two officers had moved to the southbound side of the highway. When they waved me through I asked if they were looking for maleantes. "Si".Sounds like the bad guys got away before it was possible to establish an effective roadblock. This is where some of the planned new 5000 security cameras will help if they are placed strategically under bridges to catch License plates, imo.
