    U.S. Embassy Panama American Citizen Services Unit Outreach in Bocas de Toro Consul General Landon Taylor and U.S. Embassy Panama’s American Citizens Services (ACS) staff will visit Isla Colón, Bocas Del Toro on Thursday, June 6, 2019. The Consul General will host a Town Hall to introduce himself, answer questions, and to hear about your experiences as U.S. citizens living in Bocas del Toro from 10am-11am in the meeting room of the Autoridad de Turismo on Isla Colón. We welcome all U.S. citizens living in Bocas del Toro province to attend. Following the Town Hall, ACS will provide notary services from 11am to noon and passport renewals from noon to 1pm by appointment ONLY. WHERE,WHEN, AND HOW: Where: Autoridad de Turismo, Isla Colón, 1st Street next to the Police Station, Bocas del Toro, Panama When: Thursday, June 6. Town Hall 10:00-11:00am; Notarial services 11:00am-12pm; Passport renewal services 12-1pm. Please obtain your cashier's check in advance of our visit because the local bank was unable to provide same-day service during our last visit. Our office has confirmed with the State Department that, unfortunately, we cannot accept cash, credit card or personal check payments. The notarial fee is $50 per each signature of the Consular Officer. A list of passport fees can be found here. Attendance at the town hall is free and open to all U.S. citizens and their families. WHAT TO BRING FOR PASSPORT AND NOTARIAL SERVICES: Please read all of the following information carefully because you will need all documentation ready for us to process your passports and notarize your documents. We will not have access to photocopiers or computers to assist you with any missing documentation. Passports: For passport renewals for minors, in addition to the completed DS-11 application, bring a copy of the photo page of the minor’s passport, a copy of both parents’ passports/cedulas, one recent color photo with a white background that measures 5x5 cm (2X2 inches) and a copy of the minor’s birth certificate, in addition to the original birth certificate and passport/cedulas. The fee for passport renewal is currently $115.00 for a minor (under 16) and $145.00 (for a minor 16 years of age and older). The minor (under 16) and both parents or guardians must appear in person. If only one parent is present in Panama, the “Statement of Consent from Absent Parent” Form DS-3053, notarized in the United States, is required. Please note that the DS-3053 will not be accepted if notarized in Panama. For passport renewals for adults, in addition to the completed DS-82 application, bring a copy of the photo page of the adult’s passport, one recent color photo with a white background that measures 5x5 cm (2X2 inches). The fee for passport renewal is currently $110.00. If your passport wasn’t issued within the past 15 years, a DS-11 must be completed instead of a DS-82 and the price will increase to $145.00. For first-time adult passports for individuals 16 or older, in addition to the completed DS-11 application, bring one recent color photo with a white background that measures 5x5 cm (2X2 inches), and a copy and the original of at least one of the following citizenship documents: a previous passport, a certified birth certificate from the U.S., a consular report of birth abroad, a naturalization certificate, and/or a certificate of citizenship. For lost/stolen passports, in addition to the completed DS-11 application and the DS-64 statement regarding a lost or stolen passport, bring one recent color photo with a white background that measures 5x5 cm (2X2 inches), a Panamanian police report documenting the lost/stolen passport, and documentation of your identity (government-issued identification cards and/or proof of U.S. citizenship). The fee is currently $145 for an adult (over the age of 16) replacement of a lost or stolen passport. If you are requesting the notarization of your driver’s license, bring a photocopy of the front and back of your license, as well as your actual license. If you are requesting a notarization of benefits documents, bring the original and a copy of the document(s) showing the benefits you receive monthly or annually. The notarial fee is $50.00 for each signature of the Consular Officer. RSVP is encouraged to attend the Town Hall, but not required. This will be the first visit of the Consul General to Bocas del Toro, so please attend and be prepared to raise any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to seeing you there!
