AQUA YOGA
with Tania Cabal SATURDAY, April 22nd
1 pm
Event Price: $15
6 spaces available!
75 minutes
Aqua Yoga is the perfect union of relaxation, meditation, flexibility and concentration. For this reason, it is fully recommended for all types of people, beyond the physical possibilities of each one.
It is a type of yoga in which the postures are performed in the water, which allows the postures to be approached in a gentle way, with low impact, which adapts the asanas and principles of yoga, including breathing and meditation, to the aquatic environment. It is a particularly relaxing and restorative form of yoga due to the effect of having the body in the water.
What to expect for my Aqua Yoga Class
We will start with a little warm up with movements of the body to increase oxygen and stimulate circulation. Meditation and connecting with yoga breathing , then we will approach some known standing yoga poses which will give us the opportunity to explore them and our balance with the help of the water. Also we will enjoy some postures that involve floatation with the help of accessories.
Our class will end with a floatation savasana a totally different way to enter a consciousness state of relaxation using water to abstract our senses for a more consciousness state of relaxation.
For this class, floatation accessories we will be provide by the instructor.
Participants must bring: Ear plugs and appropriate swimsuit
In this class you will get your hair wet. Swimming knowledge is not required for this class but let the instructor know in advance if you do not know how to swim.
Class size is limited to 6 people. Sign up with payment to the reception desk at The Haven to reserve your spot.

Community Christmas Party Hosted by Amigos de Boquete Comunidad
By Moderator_02,
The party was planned and executed by a recently formed group of expats under the name of Amigos de Boquete Comunidad (ABC). Joe Hart and his wife, Linda, along with numerous volunteers put together this festive gathering. Our hats off to Joe, Linda, and all of their elves.
Here are a few pictures from this event:

ARF Thanksgiving Meal
By Bud,
An unexpected plus for us was that we finally got to meet Beth Abrahams (it is kind of a long story, don't ask).
Beth Abrahams
We also got to catch up with all of the latest travels and happenings of our friends who were at our table. Met a few new people, etc.
There simply was nothing that we could fault (not our goal anyway). This is the way things should be done, and ARF did it with all of their wonderful volunteers. If someone found fault with something yesterday, then I would chalk them off as being a token curmudgeon. Thank you ARF! GREAT JOB!!!!
Thank you to all who helped make yesterday's Thanksgiving Day celebration such a huge success, and special thanks to N&N:
I will close with: we all have a lot to be thankful for.
