July 12, 2017 01:30 PM 04:30 PM
Wednesday July 12, 2017 meeting at 8:30 A.M., Alto Boquete in the Plaza San Francisco parking lot. When driving park on the side road. We leave at 8:35 carpooling to Caldera. Caldera is another one of Boquete's wonderful and interesting places to walk. Wednesday we will be on a lonely country lane with the town people who live in this quiet area of Caldera riding on horseback to to town. Caldera is a sleepy no frills town. I hope you join us for this 3 hour walk as, we take in natural beauty, the cattle and/or horses roaming on this road or listen to the Rio Chiriqui Grande flowing alongside this lane and the huge boulders that have been nestled in this river, for centuries or the Crimson Red Jobo fruit (Jamaican Plum) and mangos are in season. Caldera is warmer than Boquete so dress lightly. Remember to pack: Rain gear, this time take along a snack, plenty of water, hat/cap, sun block definitely, bug spray, binocs and a camera. Nature walks are all about finding the unusual. Join us for the each Wednesday morning for a two plus walk or the popular EZ Friday Nature Walk also for 2 hours, meeting time 8:30 A.M. No need to RSVP just show up For more info or to placed on Jere McCormick's email listing write to here at jere chica @ gmail .com (no spaces)

Community Christmas Party Hosted by Amigos de Boquete Comunidad
By Moderator_02,
The party was planned and executed by a recently formed group of expats under the name of Amigos de Boquete Comunidad (ABC). Joe Hart and his wife, Linda, along with numerous volunteers put together this festive gathering. Our hats off to Joe, Linda, and all of their elves.
Here are a few pictures from this event:

ARF Thanksgiving Meal
By Bud,
An unexpected plus for us was that we finally got to meet Beth Abrahams (it is kind of a long story, don't ask).
Beth Abrahams
We also got to catch up with all of the latest travels and happenings of our friends who were at our table. Met a few new people, etc.
There simply was nothing that we could fault (not our goal anyway). This is the way things should be done, and ARF did it with all of their wonderful volunteers. If someone found fault with something yesterday, then I would chalk them off as being a token curmudgeon. Thank you ARF! GREAT JOB!!!!
Thank you to all who helped make yesterday's Thanksgiving Day celebration such a huge success, and special thanks to N&N:
I will close with: we all have a lot to be thankful for.
