On Friday, we meet at Plaza San Francisco in the parking lot located in Alto Boquete at 8:30 A.M., leaving at 8:35, carpooling to the trailhead in the Lucero area to begin our one and half hour walk. This is a beautiful nature walk with a water channel running alongside the path. We will walk to the reservoir Represa La Estrella/El Valle where there are some waterfowl. We will not be in shade so wear sun block, pack the following: plenty of water, cap/hat, bug spray, camera and binocs. Wear hiking shoes or gym shoes with a good outer sole tread. No need to RSVP just show up. Here are a few of my recent photos from the area, we will be walking. Nature never seizes to amaze me, in all the years, I have walked on the many trails in the Boquete area. I find something new each time. I take photos to keep the memory of nature's beauty alive and to share with others. See you on the trail... Any questions email Jere McCormick: jere chica @ gmail.com (no spaces) Photo 1 Great Southern Butterfly, Photo 2 Cluster of Caterpillars, Photo 3 Roaming Horses, Photo 4 Nature Walkers

Community Christmas Party Hosted by Amigos de Boquete Comunidad
By Moderator_02,
The party was planned and executed by a recently formed group of expats under the name of Amigos de Boquete Comunidad (ABC). Joe Hart and his wife, Linda, along with numerous volunteers put together this festive gathering. Our hats off to Joe, Linda, and all of their elves.
Here are a few pictures from this event:

ARF Thanksgiving Meal
By Bud,
An unexpected plus for us was that we finally got to meet Beth Abrahams (it is kind of a long story, don't ask).
Beth Abrahams
We also got to catch up with all of the latest travels and happenings of our friends who were at our table. Met a few new people, etc.
There simply was nothing that we could fault (not our goal anyway). This is the way things should be done, and ARF did it with all of their wonderful volunteers. If someone found fault with something yesterday, then I would chalk them off as being a token curmudgeon. Thank you ARF! GREAT JOB!!!!
Thank you to all who helped make yesterday's Thanksgiving Day celebration such a huge success, and special thanks to N&N:
I will close with: we all have a lot to be thankful for.
