Chris McCall
We just had two very fast earthquakes here, one at about 8:23 and the next about 8:28. Both rattled the windows and shook the bed but very short about 3 seconds or less
Bud
We felt a strong shock at 8:17pm this evening. Can't find it on any websites. My opinion is at least a 4.5 magnitude, but only my opinion.
Chris McCall
Costa Rica is showing it at mag 3.7 on highway 10 (bocas road) due east of caldera. They are just reporting one earthquake we felt two.

Sorry Chris, your postings are as combined as I can make them, short of editing individual posting content (which I prefer not to do). Uncle Doug
Well, the location and very shallow depth certainly explains why everyone around Boquete felt the quakes... Great info, Keith.
JudyS
I felt an after shock too, about 15 minutes later. Volcan Baru rolled over in its sleep.

TwoSailors
And we thought it was our Golden Retriever, for a minute, last night plopping herself down next to the couch!

Great info, Keith. Keith, I agree with Uncle Doug. Great info that you provided. That information matches our time tick exactly, and my estimate of the magnitude was close enough for government work. In Palo Alto, it felt (and somewhat sounded) like a large explosion had occurred a mile or two away. Admittedly, the sound could have been entirely within my home. The aftershock seemed a bit longer in duration, but was silent.

The bookcase rattled, and so did I.
