Friday February 8th (World Wildlife Day and International Women's Day) we'll leave at 8:00 AM from the Wilson Bridge, drive to the school and hike the Lemon Grove loop. This is a 3 hour hike over paved and gravel streets with substantial hills, level 7 for distance, level 8 for difficulty, 5.2 miles, 10,800 steps. Bring water and wear hiking boots. Wednesday March 6th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from San Francisco plaza, drive to and hike the Palmira loop. This is a 2 hour hike over primarily gravel streets with a trail and moderate hills, level 7 for distance and difficulty, 6.1 miles, 13,800 steps, 1150 feet vertical. Monday March 4th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Muiltibank, drive to the Pipeline Trail and hike the Bajo Mono Camp Trail. This is a 2 hour in/out hike over a paved street and rainforest trail with moderate hills, level 7 for distance and difficulty. Bring water and a hiking stick and wear hiking boots. Friday March 1st (World Zero Discrimination Day) we'll start the month leaving at 8:00 AM from the Wilson Bridge, driving to Lucero and hiking La Estrella. Wednesday February 28th we'll do a special new hike that was rained out last week and which I'm opening to the Basic hikers too. We'll leave at 8:00 AM from Multibank, drive to Alto Quiel and hike Finca Lerida. There's normally a $12.50 per person fee, however it will be waived for Take-A-Hike only if we stay for breakfast/lunch after. Since we haven't done this I don't have distance or difficulty ratings but expect them to be 6-7. Bring water and a hiking stick and wear hiking boots. I need a count for driving and hiking, so please let me know if you're coming and if you're driving including the number of passengers including yourself - we don't want to have to leave people behind.
