Friday September 24th, in accordance with easier hikes, we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Ivan's market, drive to Caldera and hike to/from the Hot Spring. This is an easier 2 hour hike over trail-like gravel streets with slight hills. However it's quite hot (same temperature as David) so bring extra water. There's a beach with swimming and a petroglyph and other interesting sights. It may be muddy and there's a $5 entrance fee to the hot spring, although there's not always some there to collect it. Wear a bathing suit under your hiking clothes if you want to swim, as there is no changing room. The hike is rated 6 for distance and difficulty, 5.7 miles, 11,600 steps. Bring extra water and a hiking stick, a snack and wear sun protection and hiking boots. Show up or email rimerman1@gmail.com.
