On February 25 there will be an ARF Fundraiser at La Villa Coffee Lounge from 1 pm to 4 pm. It features a book signing with local author Marian Wynkoop and her original illustrated book about loss, love and her rescue dog, "Clay Finds A Forever Home....in Marian's Heart". Clay will also be in attendance. The eclectic music of Adam's Reach will be featured from 2 to 4. All proceeds will go to ARF to help with dog food for the foster dogs.

Renny reports the puppy has been found: " Yes, that's what happened, she jumped out of the window of our moving car and a neighbor found her while we were in Boquete going from pharmacy to pharmacy. Maggie the puppy is home."

Lost Lanorador puppy, 10 weeks old. Name : Maggie At 7:30 p.m. we put the puppy in the car to go for a ride with us. The windows were down from Brisas Boqueteñas for 2 miles. Once in Boquete we made 4 stops at all the pharmacies, and while parked we had the windows open. Someone stayed in the car the whole time and the windows were open. At the fourth stop we noticed the puppy gone. We think she either fell out of the car or was snatched. In either case, we didn't hear a single unusual sound. Since La Villa is closed the latter part of this week, we will hold our regular Wednesday "therapeutic" drum circle on Big Daddy's back patio. Time is still 4 PM until . . . . Last year I trucked in many plants and trees -- but they don't fare so well under those conditions. Moreover I trucked in two large truckloads of bagged cow manure + wood ash -- a good start for composting. This year I propose the following" (i) if you want our organic fertilizer, please order it now: 1 sack (using Mort's 25lb flower sacks) for $5. Mort's 50lb sack for $10. When you order, please come out to get it (by pre-arrangement so I will be here) and take a look at our nursery. If there's a plant you want, I'll put your name on it and have it ready for the growing season -- around April 15. If there are plants that you want that we are out of, I can start them for you.
