I will but I have had a delay and thought I might take the repositioning cruise out of Colon next April/May instead. I will need to get some kind of residency as my 6 months runs out in the fall and just wanted to know if anyone has successfully received one of these new residency visas.

No salary at all? Is this the same for all grocery stores?

I understand it is also common knowledge that you are supposed to tip your bagger and anyone who pushes your groceries outside and helps load them into your car. I wonder if this allows the owner to reduce what he pays these young boys (?). Also, it looks as though one has to back their car out of the lot across the street.

The notary needs to stamp in English I am told. If I am forced, I will have to take the bus to Panama City and get it done at the consulate.

Where do I find him/her so I can ask about the service? If they notarize in English, I will not have to travel to Panama City.

Mayor's Team Helps Out at Casa Esperanza

Unfortunately the debris was left sitting there for 2 months. Some of it was picked up about a month after they cut it down and the rest was picked up this past week. Welcome to "Manana Land". Seriously, I am glad the mayor acknowledged the danger of these dead trees to the Casa and the children they serve so well. -
I have finally sold my house in the U.S.!!!!! Because it is a cash deal, I need to notarize and witness the deed here in Panama, Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this here? I then need to express mail it back and I am assuming I can do this through mail boxes. Thanks for any help you can give me.

When children only go to school 4 hours a day, where do they find the time? It seems to me they spend most of that time drumming and marching. Casa Esperanza teaches English to the finca children but they are at Casa a lot longer than they are at school. Policy is one thing but implementation is quite another.

I would like to ask why the U.S. has not extradited these criminals. Who in the U.S. is being paid off I wonder?

Perhaps paper bags should make a comeback. We could use them for litter scooping I think.

I heard, and this could be wrong, that the city would not let them use that space for parking for some strange reason. Perhaps someone could verify.

I watched the series "The Story of God" and learned many things about different religious beliefs and practices around the world. It was very well done and, as a spokes person, Mr. Freeman was amazing. Cannot wait for the new series.

Motivation goes out the window. Perhaps this is what is lacking here in "manana land" and needs to addressed in order for Panama to become a first world country.
