Cuddle Party is a communication and consent experiential workshop and platonic social event. We learn about how to navigate consent and boundaries while becoming empowered to ask for what we want, and then we practice those skills in open conversation and connection time within a healthy connection community.
Skin Hunger is a real feeling some of us have when we have not been able to experience healthy connections over time. Just like eating healthy food and getting good sleep, experiencing healthy connections (through touch and/or quality time in full presence with each other) is essential to being a healthy, happy human being and living your most well life. This event is a facilitated workshop experience offering you the opportunity to practice negotiating healthy connections.
SCHEDULE
12:00pm Doors Open. Please do not arrive before 12:00. Please consider the event start time to be 12:00 if you are temporally challenged. Come in, get settled, say hello, ask for a hug, change into your jammies.
12:30pm Welcome Circle starts. We Start Promptly
LATECOMERS ARE NOT ADMITTED, DOORS ARE LOCKED after 12:30. Yes, even in Panama, some events will start on time.
We are creating community by going over the Cuddle Party agreements for healthy communication, introducing ourselves, and doing some get to know you and communication exercises during the opening circle. Everyone must be present for the welcome circle in order to participate in the event.
4:30pm Closing Circle
5:00pm Time to go home before it gets dark for a relaxing evening and some blissed out sleep.
Please plan to be with us for the ENTIRE allotted time. I promise once you are here, you will want to stay through the end of the closing circle.
BRING
Comfy clothes or jammies. Wide strap tank tops and long shorts are the minimum clothing requirement.
Snacks to share. Please bring finger food that isn't messy.
Floor mats, pillows, blankets, hug toys - if you like.
SEATING
There will be a few seating options at the venue, but we will invite most of us to sit on the floor. If floor sitting is a challenge for you, this may not be your event. We will have more Cuddle Parties at different venues in the future. The floor in this space is padded and might be damaged by traditional legged folding chairs or camp chairs. If you would like to bring some yoga pillows, large cushions, backjacks, or other seat that would not puncture the floor, please do.
ACCESSIBILITY
There is an elevator up to the second floor and ramps everywhere in Plaza Sanfrancisco. However, please see the note under 'Seating'. Please speak to Mary if there is an accommodation which would help you feel more comfortable. and we will do our best to meet it.
WAITLIST
Please be considerate of your fellow cuddlers and update your attendance on the Meetup list if you change your mind. We may have a waitlist of folks who want to get in. Thank you for keeping your RSVP current.
DONATION
Suggested donation $20-$40. This donation helps pay for the rental space, any materials the facilitator may use, and supports the facilitator's time, training and investment in you. These donations are truly anonymous without being tracked. Please donate whatever you feel is appropriate for the experience you are being offered.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

LOCATION/PARKING
Elevate Studio (old Fun Zone/old Odonto clinic) - second floor, Plaza San Francisco, Alto Boquete. Plenty of parking available in the lot.
AGREEMENTS - if you can agree to these with an enthusiastic 'YES!'
Then this event is for you.
Pajamas stay on the whole time. This is a platonic event.
You don’t have to cuddle anyone at a Cuddle Party, ever.
You must ask permission and receive a verbal YES before you touch anyone.
If you’re a yes, say YES. If you’re a no, say NO.
If you’re a maybe, say NO.
You are encouraged to change your mind.
Respect your relationship agreements and communicate with your partner.
Get your Cuddle Party Facilitator or the Cuddle Assistant if you have a question or concern or need assistance.
Tears and laughter are both welcome.
Respect people’s privacy when sharing about Cuddle Parties.
Keep the Cuddle space tidy.

Please refrain from using perfumes or colognes as we have some chemically sensitive folks.
Please join us in an unaltered state and fully able to give consent. Cuddle Party events are always alcohol and drug free.
