GENTLE YOGA
MONDAY thru FRIDAY 9:30 - 10:30 AM
5-Days a Week! A Gentle Yoga class that encourages breath & body-awareness, as we blend traditional poses with conscious movement. Great for beginners, or those who prefer a more relaxed, mindful style. Options are given and requests are encouraged.
Each class is tailored to the group's needs. This is done in the spirit of yoga as a healing practice, where asanas (poses) are given for various conditions (ie, back pain, tight shoulders, etc.) Yoga works in subtle and profound ways. The more you listen your body’s needs... and the more supportive and deep your practice will become. Results include increased strength, flexibility, balance, & enhanced overall well being.
Overall, the goal is simple: To Feel Good! Strengthen, stretch, and smile your way into the day.
Instructor: Joy Alexander
(Language: English)
THE STUDIO IS LOCATED IN THE HAVEN WELLNESS RESORT & SPA IN BAJO BOQUETE.

April General Meeting!
Dra. Shannon Tuer
Presents
"Healthcare Services Available in Boquete and David" A simple accident, a fall, diagnosis of an illness, a stroke—unfortunately, they can happen to any of us at any time regardless of our age or how healthy we are. Whether you are new to the Boquete area or have been here for several years, it is important to understand the available healthcare services in our area before you need them. Join us April 12 as Dra. Shannon Tuer explains the healthcare Services here in Boquete and David:
Where do I go in Boquete and in David for an emergency?
What are the ambulance choices and what do they offer?
How does insurance work or not work here in Panamá?
What are MINSA and CSS, and who can use them?
What are the differences between the hospitals in David?
How do I get routine vaccinations such as influenza, tetanus, etc. here?
How do the laboratories work here in Boquete and David operate?
Do specialists come here from Panamá City or must I travel there?
What if I need blood?
How is palliative care and hospice care in Panamá different than in other countries?
I do not speak Spanish and need healthcare services, what do I do?
These are just a few of the critical topics Dra. Shannon will discuss. Following the presentation there will be ample time for your questions and answers. Please invite your friends and neighbors to a very useful and informative presentation Wednesday April 12, at 10:00am at the Anímales Event Center in Alto Boquete.

This event begins 05/11/2022 and repeats every 2 weeks on Wednesday forever
Thanks to Boquete's climate and agricultural activity, the kitchens usually obtain fresh supplies on a daily basis, thus guaranteeing the quality of each dish. Most of our restaurants only uses seasonal and regional inputs, avoiding transfers and refrigeration; This way you get fresh dishes with great flavor.
Our experience:
It begins by getting to know the municipal market to see some indigenous inputs in Panamanian cuisine. (½ hour) Then we move to a production farm where you will take a tour, receive an explanation of how our food is grown and have the opportunity to harvest, at the end you can take some harvested products. (1 ½ hours) We will visit a first restaurant to have a drink and the entrance (1 hour) Finally dinner and dessert will be served in another restaurant that includes main course, dessert and a drink.
Duration approximately 6 hours
Starts at 1pm Groups of 4 to 10 people maximum
Reservations of 2 people minimum are accepted
US$95.00 per person
All transfers included Includes all detailed dishes and drinks
And it also includes the harvested vegetables from the farm
* Restaurants offer vegan options

Community Christmas Party Hosted by Amigos de Boquete Comunidad
By Moderator_02,
The party was planned and executed by a recently formed group of expats under the name of Amigos de Boquete Comunidad (ABC). Joe Hart and his wife, Linda, along with numerous volunteers put together this festive gathering. Our hats off to Joe, Linda, and all of their elves.
Here are a few pictures from this event:

ARF Thanksgiving Meal
By Bud,
An unexpected plus for us was that we finally got to meet Beth Abrahams (it is kind of a long story, don't ask).
Beth Abrahams
We also got to catch up with all of the latest travels and happenings of our friends who were at our table. Met a few new people, etc.
There simply was nothing that we could fault (not our goal anyway). This is the way things should be done, and ARF did it with all of their wonderful volunteers. If someone found fault with something yesterday, then I would chalk them off as being a token curmudgeon. Thank you ARF! GREAT JOB!!!!
Thank you to all who helped make yesterday's Thanksgiving Day celebration such a huge success, and special thanks to N&N:
I will close with: we all have a lot to be thankful for.
