Come out and support the kids of Boquete and have fun too!
When:Friday April 12th, 2019 1 p.m. (Registration) 1:30 (Shotgun Start)
Where:Big Daddy’s
How Much:$10 per person (all proceeds go to the Boquete Kids Camp Fund which sponsors the Hogar Triskar Orphanage and many other children).
What is involved:Teams of 2-4 people (children are welcome to participate) will travel by car through the beautiful countryside of Boquete and surrounding areas looking for and taking pictures of items /places described by a series of clues. A fully charged digital camera or smart phone is needed to record the found items. Drinks and a full tank of gas are recommended. Team Prizes will be awarded for most points, correctness and creativity. A raffle of donated prizes will be also held.
Why:This annual event raises money for the “Boquete Kids Camp” ( a nonprofit organization started in 2005). This camp is run by volunteers here in Boquete for approximately 50 children (of all nationalities) 5-11 years of age, every Thursday during the summer months of January and February.
If you can't make the Scavenger Hunt/Road Rally come out to Big Daddys on Thursday April 12th from 3 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for our fantastic Raffle, Happy Hour and $3 Appetizers
Raffle tickets will be on sale Tuesday April 9rdat the BCP Market and the day of the event.
Prizes: (to date)
Show Pony Beach Resort,Los Lajas, a1 night stay, in 2 villas, during the week (Monday to Thursday) breakfast included.
Big Daddy’s Beach Club and Hotel, Puerto Armuelles,2 night stay (food not included)

Community Christmas Party Hosted by Amigos de Boquete Comunidad

The party was planned and executed by a recently formed group of expats under the name of Amigos de Boquete Comunidad (ABC). Joe Hart and his wife, Linda, along with numerous volunteers put together this festive gathering. Our hats off to Joe, Linda, and all of their elves.

ARF Thanksgiving Meal

An unexpected plus for us was that we finally got to meet Beth Abrahams (it is kind of a long story, don't ask).

We also got to catch up with all of the latest travels and happenings of our friends who were at our table. Met a few new people, etc.
There simply was nothing that we could fault (not our goal anyway). This is the way things should be done, and ARF did it with all of their wonderful volunteers. If someone found fault with something yesterday, then I would chalk them off as being a token curmudgeon. Thank you ARF! GREAT JOB!!!!
