Seasons pizza is exceptional. The best I've had in the area. I dislike overly cheesy and sauced pizza which Is all I can find in town. I like a rustic crust and theirs is delicious. I've also had one of the Thai dishes which was super spicy and tasty. The servce was outstanding. Friendly and attentive. Couldn't care less about the steps but, if one has difficulty managing stairs, it could be an issue. My only complaint? The cost of the wine! We would have loved to order a bottle but anything we would have ordered was $65 or over. From memory, I think most of the bottles were well over $80 and into the hundreds. When I asked about it, the server said that they had a sommelier who had chosen the wine and set the prices however she was no longer working there. I don't think that was a really rational answer and, until the prices come down on the wine, we won't be ordering any. This also means that we'll probably only go for lunch since we usually enjoy wine with dinner.

Great to see both AaC numbers posted Bob. The issue of the correct numbers being available is certainly not "moot," despite whether a service is available or not. As you can see below, I dialed both AaC Numbers correctly, but both had the same message saying there was a system error and pointed me to the other number, so it must have been simultaneous issues with both carriers as you said. Hopefully you don't think me "presumptive" for inquiring about this service, often requested of friends and neighbors, in addition to police and possibly military (not sure about that one,) and know that I would never assume that all would understand any of my "jargon" regardless of the topic. I appreciate your follow up.

I need a welfare check in Jaramillo Abajo

Good question. I would imagine that since I can use them to talk to the cop who's trying to give me a ticket and pretending he doesn't understand my spanish, that they would. To me it seems like a more urgent situation. That being said, Policia refused to go, so would they for Rodney or AaC? I'll try to find out and post back. -
A welfare check is when someone checks on the welfare of another to be sure they are ok. I was worried about someone who I had been unable to reach for quite a while. After not being able to reach AaC, I called the policia directly and they refused to go. I finally got our taxi driver to go over for me. It was an unusual situation since most of our friends are in the US right now, as are we, and apparently many other's phones were out. It was the perfect storm for a panic situation. Wouldn't it be a welfare cheque in canada

Bob, I called both numbers receiving the same message. I called the 6662 number first and received a message that was not clear so I could not understand the alternate number. Checked the website, only the 6662 number was listed. Searched on CL and found the alternate 0011 number. Got another message pointing me to call the 6662 number. In my haste, I typed 3 but it was 2. My takeaway is the both numbers should be listed on the AaC website. And perhaps there should be a back up number with another provider for just this scenario. Thanks for the follow up.

I finally got hold of a neighbor who is handling things for me. Not sure if I can delete this post? -
I don't have a ning membership any longer so thought it would be helpful to post this here and remind folks to be very careful about virtual notarizations. I noticed on ning that Olga has offered to notarize a document for someone while she is in Florida and the individual in Boquete. She claims that " There are ways of doing that in today's technology times." Some states do allow virtual notarization (not Florida) however, many organizations will not accept them even if from a state where they are allowed. Best to check in advance to see if a virtual notarization, from a state in which they are allowed, will be accepted. Directly from Florida's Dept of State: May I notarize a signature without the person being present if another person swears that the person signed the document? No! The Notary Section receives frequent inquiries about "notarizing a person's signature by subscribing witness." Evidently, some notaries believe that it is permissible to notarize a signature when the person is not present if someone who witnessed the signing of the document appears before the notary and swears that the person actually signed the document. Some states, like California, do, in fact, allow such notarizations, but Florida does not. Misunderstanding may also stem from a section in Florida law that provides a method by which instruments concerning real property may be entitled to recording in Florida when the document signer cannot appear before a notary to acknowledge his or her signature. You may hear this procedure referred to as "proof of execution by subscribing witness." Not only is a Florida notary not permitted to notarize virtually, they are also not permitted to notarize any document while outside the state of Florida. This is pretty much standard for all notaries in all states, with a few exceptions.
