I golf with one of the members of Panama City Chamber Of Commerce. He made the same statements as this article to me months ago. He has the inside information. After all, he is the new President's brother-in-law. We will see-----the assembly has a lot of control over this country that needs to be changed. Corruption and the Assembly will be the first problems to be solved in my opinion. He was on the Chamber Of Commerce long before Nito ran for office.

Amazing architecturally designed building. The history inside is amazing. Chiriqui has displays in there also.

She translated some legal documents for me needed in the USA. She has the appropriate stamps accepted in the USA. Prompt and reasonable.

One look at the schools in Panama tells you the priority is not there. I've heard that for many years here. Nothing is ever done about it. Why? Once in office the tide turns for the worse.

Yes we are experiencing fluctuations (higher speed). Usually in the mornings. No consistency in the increased speed during the peek hours. So, it is actually not in favor of the customers. I will continue to believe band width is the main problem. Maybe Cabla Onda can support new technology that increases the size of compression packets of data one day------They are not replacing the fiber optics in the area with more band width at this time. We have 30mg and some people have 60, 100. For all three speeds during peek hours the speed is the same. I have to remember where we are!

Are extremely dry and wet conditions caused by politicians?

We experienced the start of the project this week. As in Florida, concrete highways (interstates) were replaced with asphalt. Concrete highways have always buckled up. I do not know if they are going to replace the concrete in Chiriqui but they are laying asphalt on a new emergency lane starting in Bugaba and heading East to David.

HARDLY A FAILED STATE. STAYING ON TOPIC HERE.

The Consitution is the problem. No guidelines for corruption. No checks and balances. No redistribution of funds (taxes) equally to Provinces. Virtually no "School Boards" to put pressure on Panama Assembly. Criminal Code is a joke. Hardly a failed state. I'll stop now.

Shaker lasted about 15 seconds. Maybe a 4.5 here in Boquete.

My wife Bobi McGann and myself as members of yours (1307), hereby commend your superb support to us during a time of crisis at our home.
Last Saturday, you arranged for the Bomberos ambulance to arrive at our home in Montana Verde, Calle D, Lote 7 in coordination with Dra. Digna Diaz.
Bobi had gone into an extremely low blood sugar event; wherein, she was unable to communicate and respond. Dr. Diaz and her nurse were able to bring her out of this state with a glucose drip. The ambulance staff stood by in the event that Dra. Diaz determined Bobi should be transported to a hospital in David.
Fortunately, Dra. Diaz was able to bring Bobi back into a complete state of consciousness; whereupon, the ambulance crew left our home. The good news Rodny is that unless they transport the party to a hospital, there is no charge.
Your support has for us over the last 6 months has been fantastic including the shooting outside of our home at 4:45AM, the constant electrical outages with your updates, your willingness to support us by acting as the interface between Tecno Sistemas and us with alarm events and now this medical emergency.
You can count on our recommendation of your service to other clients, you can count on us to be your client until either we move on in the world or you should close your business and you can count on our support for you and your business as needed.
You are the best emergency service in Panama.
Monday is the 5th Penny.

Thanks Mike. The manager told me from 7am to 6pm yesterday only. Really confusing information but I am NOT surprised.

And the paving company was supposed to finish the road yesterday. They completed about 1/3. SO, looks like the same hours of closure again today. I stayed out all day yesterday for nothing..............lol

I agree BD. BUT, one would think he is responsible for the ambulance and police service to downtown.

Shouldn't this Guinness World Record belong to Volcan or Boquete?

The highway on the west side of Valle Anton has great asphalt now. I would have turned around and came back down If there had been enough space to turn around. Since there wasn't enough room to escape, I continued to the top. This is the steepest paved road in Panama. Paso Canos to Volcan is nothing compared to Valle Anton.
