  1. Water Restore to my condo sometime during the night. I would like to thank the workers skilled or unskilled and the politicians I talked to on the phone for showing up and correcting the problem. I take issue with desparaging remarks about the workers and the politicians that showed up and worked and sweated while I was under my A/C and in Boquete. So, I have practiced using the ignore button. These insults have followed us to this website sadly.

Thanks Bud for incorporating this feature.

  2. Parasites are in all river waters, irrigation waters and potable waters in the Boquete District. They Thrive in the ground and are transported in river water and above ground and below ground crops. That's not all, pesticides and other chemicals run rampant here also. Fecal matter is a different story. This isn't a matter of who you are or how long you've resided in  Panama.......................it's a HEALTH ISSUE. It ain't rocket science. Only the politicians can fix this. But fix has a different meaning in Panama.

  3. Where is the water purification plant being constructed? And has the sewage plant been started? I haven't seen or heard of a shovel full of dirt being turned for this. Repairing leaks, replacing pipes and maintaining supply are important. You would think a water district could manage more than two or three projects when the money has been provided up front. I know many locals that will not drink the water and haven't for sometime. So, it is a problem. The locals have more time living in Boquete than any expat. Also, think about the crops that use this water. It's not a simple look the other way thing. I'm in Boquete three to four times a week, spend money, donate tax money while there, and WILL NOT drink the water. I use bottled water. How slow is progress supposed to be when it comes to health concerns over a water supply?
