This is a 2 hour hike over paved and gravel streets with substantial hills, level 6 for distance, level 8 for difficulty, 3.4 miles, 8600 steps, 600 feet vertical distance. Bring water. Wednesday December 8th we'll celebrate Panama Mothers Day and leave at 8:00 AM from the Feria, drive to Jaramillo Arriba and hike the Perez road. This is a 2 hour in/out hike over a gravel street with moderate hills, level 7 for distance and difficulty, 5 miles, 11,400 steps. Bring water and a hiking stick and wear hiking boots. Monday December 6th we'll leave at 8:00 from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike the Pipeline Trail. This is a 2 hour in/out rainforest trail with moderate hills and some interesting sights, level 6 for distance, level 7 for difficulty. Bring water and hiking a stick and wear hiking boots. Friday December 3rd we'll celebrate International Persons with Disabilities Day and leave at 8:00 AM from San Francisco plaza, drive to and hike a new Palmira trail. This is an in/out hike over a gravel street and appears to be a level 7 for distance and difficulty - we shall see. Bring water and wear hiking boots. A hiking stick might be a good idea too. Wednesday December 1st we'll start the month by celebrating Panama Teachers Day and World AIDs Day and leave at 8:00 AM from the Panda restaurant (across from the library) and hiking the Cemetery Loop. This is a 2+ hour hike over gravel and paved streets and a trail with many hills, level 8 for distance and difficulty, 7.2 miles, 14,600 steps, 1370 feet vertical distance.
