Keith Woolford
What a dumb, arrogant headline. Edited November 30, 2017 by Keith Woolford 2
John R Hampton
You kind of missed the point Keith. Parades are same whenever people celebrate. 1
Keith Woolford
No, sir. You missed the point. Why should you demean the joy and value of a Panamanian celebration by trying to connect it to a U.S. holiday? This is not the U.S. and only a small minority of the people who live here are American. 2
John R Hampton
Not sure why similar parades with marching bands, military personnel, policemen, firemen, schools, children, baton twillers and thousands of happy citizens all celebrating on a day set out to mark their independence is demeaning to anyone. It was titled "4th of July" with quotation marks to associate it with patriotic public gatherings which is common to the US and Panama and many people understand the celebratory nature of that expression. Did not assume that some people would take it literally since the video is clearly labelled Dia de la Independencia in Spanish. 2
TwoSailors
Well, I thought the quality of the video to be excellent. Nice to have a drone!
Penny
Thank you John for posting this excellent video. I understood that you were drawing a parallel that U.S. citizens could relate to.
Keith Woolford
The video's great. It's the Title I find to be inappropriate. The 16 hour Dia de Independencia parade here is unique, imo.
BlueBird
The video is great of this beautiful parade. Perhaps a change of title would be a good idea.
