This is an important announcement for the residents of Boquete and the Chiriqui highlands area.

One of the most viewed topics published on the Chiriqui.Life (CL) website concerns pet care services, which includes information about (a) veterinarians, (b) general pet care goods and services, (c) importation and exportation of domestic pets, (d) spay and neuter clinics, (e) legalities about pet abuse, (f) contact information for pet related groups, etc. This pet care information resource topic is called Maggie's List (Pet Care Resources of the Chiriqui Province), and Pet Abuse. That topic has been viewed over 4,500 times since first published in May 2016, which averages about 10 accesses every day. Anyone can view this valuable information at any time.

This is perhaps the only publicly available repository of current pet care resources for the Chiriqui Province. Where do you go in an emergency to get this kind of information? This listing is a homegrown effort that was originally begun in response to the death of a pet that had an unfortunate interaction with a snake or cane toad. That topic was quickly expanded to include information about pet abuse.

The primary purpose of this announcement is to introduce John and Susan Pazera to the Boquete and Chiriqui highlands community. They are assuming moderator administration responsibilities for the pet care resource forum. Hailing from southern California, John and Susan discovered Panama while traveling aboard their sailboat in 2004. Today, as residents of Boquete, they love to spoil their two pups, Rosie and Tango. The health, welfare, and safety of Chiriqui's furry friends (both dogs and cats) is one of their biggest passions.

We are pleased, encouraged, and appreciative of John and Susan having stepped forward to help all of us with our domestic pets. You may contact them via email at pet.vet.info@chiriqui.life, or via PM (private message) to their CL ID of @Two4Paws. You can help them help you by providing contact information about the pet care resources that you are aware of and/or use and that is not currently listed (or perhaps outdated).

Again, if you need pet care information simply click here Maggie's List (Pet Care Resources of the Chiriqui Province), and Pet Abuse. You do not need to be a CL member to access this critical information, but we recommend that you join CL so that you can access all of the information contained therein. There is no cost to use the CL information portal. Simply click on the "Sign Up" icon in the upper right corner of the home page.

We ask that you join us in welcoming and supporting John and Susan Pazera in their new moderator role on Chiriqui.Life.

If they're healthy, just go to Dra. Chely. She also can treat most cat ailments. I have found that the vets here and in David are no better for the most part and charge double, triple, or quadruple what she does. Should surgery ever become necessary, use only Dr. Tello in Costa Rica, who will meet you at the border. I'll share some personal experiences with you later.
