Lynn Garrett
It's likely we'll be overstaying, as we just had to cancel our flight home in order to stabilize wonky blood pressure before travel. Anyone know if there's a process to be "forgiven" in such a case? Guessing a Doctor's note about the circumstance would possibly help, but anything more? Brundageba
Take the note to the migration office and ask for an extension. Bring all documents.
Bud
Concur with Brundageba's suggestion. Another option is that this sounds like a situation where the consular assistance may be helpful. If USA citizens, then contact one of the Boquete wardens (Hank Landis or Bonnie Williams). Bonnie is accessible via CL, using a PM (private message) to her ID of @Bonnie. Good luck -- both medically as well as legally.
Bonnie
The U.S. Embassy no longer wants Wardens to directly help people. Our orders are to direct everyone with inquiries to either call 517-5000 or email Panama-ACS@state.gov.
Lynn Garrett
Thanks all. Looking like we'll leave soon, and not return, so just say sorry as we wave goodbye. Been a great 4 years here, and time for the next adventure. 2
Keith Woolford
If this is going to be a relatively short period of time Lynn, another option would be to just overstay and pay a fine at Migracion the day before leaving.

Wishing you the best, wherever you land and for whatever reason.
