A JUNGLE, CANAL EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE ISTHMUS.. FROM THE ATLANTIC TO THE PACIFIC (OCEAN TO OCEAN) APRIL 22 TO APRIL 24, 2018 We've all heard of the Panama Canal, but how many of us have heard of the Panama Canal Railway? A trip on the Panama Canal Railway train gives one a new insight into the jungle of Panama, the amazing man made Gatun Lake and wonderful views of the Panama Canal and the locks. Riding in the observation car you can appreciate the planning and engineering that went into the construction of this railroad. Cars are furnished with comfortable booth seating and tables, and walls are decorated in wood paneling with lamps. The trip gives a great insight as to how difficult the task of jungle clearance was to enable the canal to be built. Sights along the way include marshes, jungle, the dredging, ships on the lake, sunset, and even the prison where General Noriega was held. For the itinerary and complete details, please CLICK HERE.
  2. I was fortunate enough to have a chance to talk with these young people while they were waiting to go into the parade in Boquete. They had the "Rose Bowl" banners stretched over their tubas and it caught my interest. They were so excited about going to the US to be in the Rose Bowl parade. They were practicing their English with me. I was so excited when I started watching the parade on Monday, I posted it on fb and messenger to everyone what channel they could watch it on in English and that Panama was going to be represented. So proud of these young people from Panama. Go Panama!!!

Bus Trip to Drua Embera Indian Village – January 23, 24, 25, 2018 One of the magical things about Panama is its diverse mix of cultures and lifestyles. A trip with us to the Embera Village will give you a glimpse, and some insight, of traditional tribal lifestyles in Panama. Professional English speaking guides take you on this unforgettable tour into the heart of the Panamanian rain forest. This is an all day trip so we leave early in the morning and get back before dark. We start on the Chagres river on traditional cayuco (dug-out canoe) to the Drua Embera Indian village. There you will be welcomed by the villagers who will give you an introduction to the culture, religion, art, language, food, and lifestyle of their people. You will be served a traditional lunch of Tilapia fish and fried plantains. Other presentations include an explanation of medicinal plants, a trail walk through the jungle, a musical dance and performance, and the chance to swim in a crystal clear river. www.easytravelpanama.net for more information on the Drua Indian Village. The itinerary is: Jan. 23, 2018 Tuesday – Leave Boquete 8am. Travel by tour bus to Panama City. Enjoy mimosa and a continental type breakfast on the way. We will stop along the way for short breaks. Great idea! Big Daddy's was selling pizza. Thanks for the comment.

I think next time as people enter someone should be sure attendees know all those details. Actually there was only Big Daddy's selling pizza besides the food truck and Morts Bakery selling soft pretzels and Leslie from Skateworld had desserts. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. We totally agree that the music was too loud! I worked as one of the servers and it was difficult for me to take orders. I had to ask to repeat them. We asked repeatedly for them to tone it down throughout the day and they never did. I am so sorry about that. We have learned some things from this experience and will definitely take all suggestions into consideration for the next event. More umpapa would have been better too. Thank you for coming and also for your suggestions. Linda Hart -ACCB
  8. Alto Boquete. From the main highway, just before the school and the 2 NP walkover coming from Boquete, turn right at the Bougainvillea Village sign. Go to the end of the street where you have to turn right or left. Turn right and it's the second house on the right. You can call or WhatsApp either of the numbers listed.
