A total of 12 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Panama, are included in a list released May 30. The report, which evaluates 175 countries, reveals that Panama has a child homicide rate of 10.8 per 100,000 inhabitants, due to gang violence that originates in the streets and reaches homes and schools.
