American writer Fredric Alan Maxwell is a New Yorker-profiled New York Times Magazine-published author whose last book, Bad Boy Ballmer: The Man Who Rules Microsoft, was translated into seven languages, including German, Russian, and Chinese.

Fred will be reading about his experience being investigated -- and cleared -- by the US Secret Service while writing that unauthorized former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer biography, which garnered a humorous handwritten fan letter from Hillary Clinton. He'll also read the preface and first chapter of his work-in-progress, Van Man, about living in a Ford cargo van all over the United States for five years.
After reading he will take questions from, and ask questions of, the audience.
