The outgoing trio Heading to pasture will be National Police Chief Omar Pinzón, Crisian Hayer who commands the National Frontier Service (Senafront), and Belsio González of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan). The president indicated that the changes will take place during the last two months of the year and at the beginning of 2018 “We have already started the process of choosing some directors and are sitting down with the current ones to listen to the reports,” said Varela. The lead up to the current National Independence celebrations has been clouded by multiple protests and demonstrations against corruption and impunity.
