Following is a textual transcription of the English language version of this article, for ease of reading purposes: Quote On Saturday 29 and Sunday·30 July, the "Orquídeas Especiales, Orgullo Nacional" (Special Orchids, National Pride) Expo 2017 will take place at the Abou Saad Cultural Center in Albrook at 8:30 a.m. During both days of the fair, visitors will be able to appreciate a great variety of orchids and flowers at an event where exhibitors will come from all over the country. A wide variety of growers will be present to exhibit their plants and offer unique, natural pieces of this delicate flower for sale. The tropical humid climate of Panama, makes it the right place to grow these beautiful flowers. According to data from the Panamanian Orchidology Association, there are some 1,200 species of orchids identified in Panama's forests and registered, although there are still many species undiscovered in areas such as Darien and the Atlantic slope. This exhibition and sale of orchids is organized by the Panamanian Orchidology Association with the objective of promoting the art of orchid cultivation, highlighting the importance of conserving the forests that are the habitat of native species, promoting floristic culture, teaching how to cultivate orchids and arouse interest in the knowledge of native species. The exhibition will open its doors on Saturday 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. And on Sunday, July 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Abou Saad Cultural Center is located on Las Magnolias Street, next to the Hotel Albrook Inn. Admission to the event costs $3 adults, $1.50 retirees and $1 for children under 12 years. For more information call 6030-0121 or visit Facebook.com/AsociacionDeOrquideologiaDePanama.
