Thank You Boquete

Mike’s Global Grill would like to give a huge thank you to the community of Boquete for your generosity and support for our friend Roger Brewington. The fundraiser held yesterday, RogerFest 2017, was a big success and will help Roger pay the mounting medical bills from his long hospitalization and needed upcoming procedure.

A big thank you to Debby Banker for organizing the event and all of her tireless work and endless hours to make it fun and successful. Another big thank you goes to Gail Anstey for also helping to pull off the event and her ongoing assistance to Roger in dealing with hospital bureaucracy and paperwork. She is also going to be setting up a Go Fund Me account so that we can continue to help raise funds for his needed procedure.

Thank you to Robert and Helen for your huge generosity, the hospital visits and bringing Roger home. Thank you Jack Medeiros for opening up your home and watching over our friend. Thank you Lee Ann Osbun for organizing the Meals on Wheels and to everyone who signed up to bring meals over for Roger - let’s put some weight back on him!

Thank you to all of the musicians who played for over 5 hours yesterday and kept us entertained and on our feet dancing. The Adam Reach Band and family (Adam, Luis, Adhis, Arya, Allan) is our favorite house band and they very generously donated their talents and tips to the cause. Thank you to Andy Egert, Steve Kenyon, Drummer Mike “Metallica” McClaughry and Pink Floyd Dale for jamming like the rock stars you are. Any other musicians I missed, forgive me and THANK YOU!

Huge thanks to Tracy and Paul from Panama Joe Coffee for the gorgeous gift basket of your wonderful coffee, chocolate beans and beer coozie. Muchas gracias to Allan Guerra from the Varela company for the gift baskets of Abuelo rum, Stanislav vodka and Seco. Thank you to Joerg Senne and Irma Marengo for the generous gift certificate to the Rock. And thank to Bev Hall for donating the stunning painting that EVERYONE wanted to win!

Thank you to Bryan Del Cid and our entire staff for all of your hard work and keeping everyone fed, watered and happy. We have a great crew at Mike’s and appreciate their dedication and excellence.

And finally thank you to all of our customers and friends for opening up your hearts and supporting our friend Roger in a time of need. Your generosity and kindness were overwhelming and because of your support, you are helping a good person with literally another chance at life. Thank you all for being part of an amazing community and for being our family here in Boquete.
