Jaime Daniel
I just watched a fascinating documentary about Dean Kamen's water project that had a appearance from Bill Clinton in it. For all his faults, the past president does seem to care about what happens to the planet and its people. If Americans were smart, they would elect Dean Kamen for President. The film is here --http://www.slingshotdoc.com/
JohnF13
Unfortunately, there is not a renewable energy plant out there that doesn't list the first income line as "government subsidy". The technology isn't there yet and likely never will be unless these projects are made to stand on their own. The cost of materials, from solar panels to windmills are way too high because of government inputs.
Jaime Daniel
The slingshot isn't about renewable energy. Kamen has partnered with Coca Cola and other groups. http://www.slingshotdoc.com/partners/ Reading his past developments, he is a determined person.
