There is a monthly full moon drum party (adult beverages, bonfire, . . .) plus regular Wednesday drum circles that are therapeutic. All take place at La Villa Coffee Cafe. Therapeutic drumming is every Wednesday from 4-5 PM. It's been proven by a number of top medical schools and research institutions that community drumming generates health benefits comparable to deep meditation. It significantly reduces the effects of stress and even helps prevent cancer. And it's fun! If you would like to participate in our community drumming programs, but feel uncomfortable due to your lack of drumming experience, this message is especially for you. I will be giving periodic drum clinics designed to teach you how to get different sounds out of a cajon (box drum most people play at the drum circles) and some basic beats that will allow you to join in the fun without having to worry about what to do. The clinics last about thirty minutes and are for beginners and early intermediates only. Feel free to join us for any drumming event even if you have not attended a drum clinic. All skill levels are welcome. Tell your friends and bring them with you. Drum with us and open your life to a new and rewarding activity.
