New Super Baru Coming to Boquete?

I was just getting a new battery in my watch at the little telephone and watch repair shop behind Restaurante Sabroson #3 (formerly Lourdes). There is a large empty field between the shop and El Buen Pastor church where the kids from the church school play soccer at recess and after school. There is now a sign on the lot saying they have approved a new construction project there for Super Baru. Will we be finally getting our own good sized grocery store???  With parking ????

That sign's been there for quite a while. I'll get excited when I see some ground broken.

I can't recall how big the lot is? Do you really think it will accommodate parking as well as the store?

No, not a reasonable sized store AND a parking lot.

Besides, where will the school kids play?

Not really an ideal site for any serious new business.

I thought the same thing when the new Super 99 was being built in David across the street from Super Baru.  What they did was have the parking on top. Saved a lot of space. There is a minimal amount of parking on the ground level but the parking up top keeps your vehicle out of the sun or rain. Pretty good set-up actually and there are two elevators. There is also a security guard on the upper level parking garage.
