Movie: Grand Budapest Hotel - Sunday, Sept 25 - Cafe La Villa (BCP Center)

Start time - 1:00pm.  (English with subtitles.) 

A movie screening on a big hi-def large TV in a cafe setting.    

Cafe La Villa will have popcorn available in addition to their regular offerings of lunches, drinks (coffee, teas, soda, beer, wine and cocktails). 

If you like, you can bring comfortable folding chairs - or cushions for the cafe chairs. 

Donations will be requested to support the Boquete Community Players Foundation - and to help offset the cost of the audio-video system. 


After last Sunday's intense and serious film - "Children of Men" (2006), we're going to switch to comedy for this screening.  


GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL (2014 - 1hr, 39min)

Set in the 1930s, the fictional Grand Budapest Hotel is a popular European ski resort, presided over by concierge Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes). Zero, a junior lobby boy, becomes Gustave's friend and protege. Gustave prides himself on providing first-class service to the hotel's guests, including satisfying the sexual needs of the many elderly women who stay there. When one of Gustave's lovers dies mysteriously, Gustave finds himself the recipient of a priceless painting and the chief suspect in her murder. 

Cast:  Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray. 

Nominated for 9 Academy Awards, winner of 3.
