Chris McCall Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Maybe this has already been posted so sorry if it has. Copa Airlines used to allow you to take two 50lb bags with you on the David/Tocumen flights if you had an ongoing international ticket or if you arrived on an international flight, this was with any carrier. They have changed the rule, now they only allow the two bags if the David/Tocumen is part of a single itinerary. I think this means that you pretty much have to fly on Copa or a Copa partner, or pay for the extra bag about $22. Quote
Jim and Judi Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I had the same experience. The crazy thing is that if I ticket David-Tocuman and Tocuman-Chicago on Copa, as seperate trips, the total is about $200 LESS than if I ticket it as one trip. I haven't been able to get around this on my own online but I'm going to try Anavilma next time and see what she can do. Quote
