NewsLady
Sinaproc Keeps Chiriqui Under Yellow Weather Alert and Raises Alert to Green for Other Regions - More Rain and Winds Through December 4th On Monday, November 30th, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) declared a green alert in the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Veraguas, Colón, Coclé and the Ngäbe-Buglé region. The measure is adopted because of surveillance notice # 1 issued by Etesa's Forecast and Surveillance Management, as a result of the intensification of the low pressure system in Panama and the Central American Caribbean. This notice is valid until December 4th. These conditions will intensify the winds on both slopes, abundant rainfall and electrical storms. Sinaproc also pointed out that the province of Chiriquí remains on a yellow alert and the rest of the country under a warning of prevention due to rains.
