Victims of Road Violence leave their mark

The Victims of Road Violence  movement, on Sunday, March 1 painted a blue heart  on Santa Elena Avenue  in memory of Yaxel Yoderik Solis González, killed  on February 19, 2019, in a traffic accident

The activity seeks to raise public awareness of the importance of respecting traffic regulations and promoting responsible road culture, The Transportation Authority (ATTT), said that during the four days of carnival, staff imposed more than 19,000 tickets with speeding, the main cause of disrespect for traffic regulations.

In  January, the Movement presented two proposals to the National Assembly, seeking to raise penalties for  manslaughter with aggravating traffic accidents and to promote in the education system culture of prevention in and road safety.
